“This is a lovely hotel, very comfortable bed, convenient location in Stone Town. The staff is very nice. However, we will never stay there again as we had major security problems. Items of ours were hidden so the staff could keep them once we left (we found my husband's had, lost my $80 sandals which were not in my suitcase at the next stop.

“The hotel is in a very convenient location. It is a short walk to the Forodhani Gardens and the former Slave Market. There are several restaurants closeby especially a very popular one Lukmaan. The area around the hotel is bustling in the day and quiet at night. A taxi cannot drive up to this property so you will to do a short walk through the streets to get there. The staff were friendly and always greeted us. They were helpful when we called for assistance with anything we needed to clarify...
