“We stayed for one night as a stopover on the way North and were very happy that we picked this Inn. The room was quite basic but perfectly adequate for our needs and in line with the price point. We had an evening meal in the bar area which was very good with generous portions and we were served by a lovely young lady who was very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was nothing short of excellent with good quality ingredients, perfectly prepared.”

The building is a beautifully well maintained old building with some rather stunning modern extras. The room we had was spacious and beautifully presented, with a very comfy bed! “Arrival was easy, nobody manning reception but was not a problem, key left on the side clearly labelled and clear instructions etc. Room clean and well presented, good amenities, including tea, coffee, fresh milk etc. Room not perfectly blackout with some streetlight coming in round the side of the curtains, and a faint green light from the fire exit sign, not something that bothers me as I sleep with my eyes closed, but some day dreamers might want a blindfold. Bed was clean, very comfortable...

“Cant say anything the whole experience was beautiful”

“On arrival could have done with better signage as to where to park as we ended up parking at Forbidden Corner. Also not easy to find Reception and when we did find there was no-one there for 10 mins. Room nice, dressing gown and slippers nice touch. Had evening meal in the bar which was ok and staff were attentive. Meals on the Sunday finished at 5 and bar closed which was inconvenient. We were informed no staff on site again until Wed. We couldn’t boil kettle Mon morning as electric went off...

“Lovely hotel for a reasonable price”

“Lovely hotel / pub in a very scenic location. Beautiful views. We had 2 cottages for our extended family group of 7 adults/ 4 children. Spent the afternoon enjoying the patio drinks and watching the water flow. Had a delicious Sunday dinner in the lovely upper dining room. Beds were comfortable and had everything we needed . Would definitely stay again .”
