The Ancient Forest is a relatively new discovery. Situated right off of Hwy 16 about an hour east of Prince George is a hidden gem: The Ancient Forest. At about 800kms inland, this rainforest is possibly the furthest rainforest from any oceans. There are massive trees here that are fairly spread out which makes for easy viewing/picture-taking/walking. More than half of the trail is actually a boardwalk. This may be due to the plentiful devil's clubs in the area. However, it is very easy to avoid the devil's club and the forest is well worth the visit outside of Prince George. Since it is a relatively new discovery, there are not that many people who visit the place, so you just may have compete and total peace while you visit.

My co-worker and I stayed at this location for a work trip. It was everything we needed. Quiet, safe, and yet still close enough to get around in the city within minutes. Hosts were great and communicative. Would definitely stay again!
