This was our third visit to Tybee Island, and we’ve always chosen rentals with a backyard pool. The pool and hot tub area here were fantastic—no complaints there! However, the interior of the home didn’t quite meet the expectations we had for the price. The second guest bedroom had a flickering light and a rattling fan that made it unusable (though there was a new fan in the closet, so hopefully that gets fixed). The third bedroom’s trundle bed was too squeaky to sleep on. Bedding was minimal, with just one pillow per person, and we were only provided one towel each for showers—more would have been appreciated at this price point. The main living room was comfortable and a great spot for family TV time. We didn’t use the downstairs entertainment room, as it was only accessible from the backyard, felt damp and musty (likely due to the season), and wasn’t very inviting. The kitchen was well-equipped and worked perfectly for our needs. The front covered deck was awesome for morning coffee, but the chairs and furniture could all use a good power washing. The home is in a neighborhood where dogs barked throughout the day, which was a bit disruptive. While this isn’t something the owners can control, it’s worth noting. On the plus side, the rental company was extremely responsive and helpful with any requests we had.Overall, we enjoyed our stay but expected more for the premium price. It was just missing some of those finishing touches that would have elevated the stay.
