Van Horne Villa es una casa hecha a medida que ofrece vistas despejadas de la playa y el Océano Atlántico. Ubicado en la parte principal frente al mar del extremo norte de Tybee, puedes disfrutar de una ubicación más tranquila en la playa y aún estar a poca distancia de restaurantes y tiendas. Wonderful house and location

Van Horne Villa was the perfect house for our family reunion with cousins. This not so young group had a great time. The house has everything you could need or want. Easy access to the beautiful beach was fantastic and the large porch became everyone’s favorite place. Quiet neighborhood but ability to walk to many things. We can’t imagine a better place and are already planning to go back!

The property is very nice, good beach access and a very large home. However, we would never recommend this property which is such a shame. We went without hot water for 6 of 7 days. We called Tybee Rental multiple times per day, left voicemails, and never heard back from them until Friday and we left Saturday. So no hot water to shower after the beach, clearly a problem for a week at the beach. Also, we called because we could not find the remote control for the main TV, no reply. We called because the grill would not start and we were having a birthday cookout, no answer so plans cancelled. The complete lack of any property management was actually disturbing. We had to leave a voicemail saying if we didn't hear back, we would have to call the fire département because we were so concerned at getting no answer. This is the first we've ever experienced with a rental- no customer sevice support or property management for help.Lastly, upon checking in right on time. 4:00 PM, we met the cleaners and the property owner who literally exploded at us. So truly unkind and completely inappropriate. We were forced to sit in the rain for an extra 40 minutes when they said they needed 10, then left by a back door and never told us the property weas ready.Do yourself a huge favor, do noy rent this house and do not rent any house managed by Tybee Vacation Rentals. It was a terrible experience and ruined a family beach vacation we had planned for a full year.

Amazing Vacation!

Everyone enjoyed the house and location cannot be beat! The house is complete with everything needed to relax in style. Absolutely recommend this property!

Family Friendly

Perfect house for family members of various ages to stay. Easy beach access is a must with children. Neighborhood was quiet. Excellent parking.

Awesome house great feel!

House has a great feel about it. Amazing view, the hedges and landscape needs maintenance A couple blinds are broken obstructing the gorgeous view upstairs It would have been nice to have beach chairs/umbrella included ;)

May 2014 Stay

Our stay at Van Horne Villa was a memorable event for my whole family! It was our 47th wedding anniversary, our son was married on the beach and it was a full week of vacation with family and friends!! The house was beautiful and the location was awesome! Everything we needed was there and we didn't have to leave for anything but groceries! The Villa is so spacious and the decor was so warm and inviting, it made us feel like we were right at home! Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us, the memories this week will last forever! Who knows, maybe we can come again next year!

October 2014 Stay

My husband and I met on Tybee Island over 4 years ago. I lived across the street in the Sea Villas condos. We knew then that we wanted to have our wedding celebration at "the house across the street". The house was all we had dreamed it would be and then some. Our family and friends loved the house and all the furnishings. TVR made sure everything for our stay was ready and waiting. The view from the deck was spectacular. We got married at the crossover beside the house by the swing where we first met. I could not have asked for a better house to begin our life with all our family and friends there. Last note, my husband left half his clothes in the drawers. TVR boxed them up so my friend on the island could pick them up. TVR goes above and beyond in customer service. Thank you TVR for your hospitality and making our stay perfect in a beautiful house. Dottie and Scottie Campbell

Nice, but...

The home is lovely. Location is great. Beautiful beach views from the upstairs Master Bedrooms. Plenty of parking. A/C worked great. However...the jack-n-jill bathroom between guest rooms was not in working order. This was NOT told to us when booking or prior to arrival. Just a sign on the door when we got there. This was an enormous inconvenience considering we had 13 people staying for the weekend. I can't fathom not informing the renters of such a thing, offering another option to move to (prior to arriving) or a refund of some sort for the inconvenience. The "path" to the beach needs a little maintenance - I am aware that the natural buffer between the home and beach needs to remain untouched however the path itself could be managed that it is actually a path. While walking through the grown up vines we had a few people trip and fall because of how grown up it is. We were really looking forward to this 3-family getaway and thought we had found "the place" for future trips, but was let down.

Pretty good as long as you don't have too much interaction with the staff of Tybee Vacation Rentals.

House was nice but you are NOT allowed to have any extra people there. My daughter got married on Tybee Island, and I wanted to have a small party for her afterward. Tybee Vacation Rentals told me it was out of the question and i'd better not do anything to decorate for a reception. Renter beware.
