  • Sea View Cottage offers a great experience for large families traveling together! The home is separated into 4 apartments so you will have space to enjoy time with the family, but also space to get-away. This historic building was built in 1924 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Combined, the property offers 6 bedrooms, 5 baths, 4 kitchens, 4 living rooms, and can sleep up to 20. Located just 4 houses back from the beach and within 2 blocks of restaurants, shops, nightlife, and the Tybee Island Pier.

    Top Floor:
    Apartment #1- This 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment offers a living area that has ocean views, a 32 inch Flat Screen TV with Satellite TV, DVD, and an iPod docking station with CD and Radio. The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped and includes table seating for 6. The large primary bedroom, located off the living area is furnished with a King bed and has an attached private bath with a stand-up shower, no tub. The two guest bedrooms are located down the hall from the kitchen. One guest bedroom is furnished with a Double bed and a 19 inch Flat Screen TV. The second guest bedroom has Twin bunk beds and a flat-screen TV.

    Apartment #4- A 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment that offers a living area that has a Queen sleeper sofa, a 32 inch Flat Screen TV with Satellite TV, DVD, and an iPod docking station with CD and Radio. The small kitchen is fully equipped (no dishwasher), and there is table seating for 4. The bedroom is located off the living area and is furnished with a Queen bed and 19 inches Flat Screen TV. The bath has a stand-up shower, no tub.

    Ground Floor:
    Apartment #2: A 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment that offers a living area that has a Queen sleeper sofa, a 32 inch Flat Screen TV with Satellite TV, DVD, and an iPod docking station with CD and Radio. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is table seating for 4. The bedroom is located off the kitchen and is furnished with a King bed, 19 inches Flat Screen TV, and a sitting area. The attached bath has a stand-up shower, no tub.

    Apartment #3: A 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment that offers a living area that has a Queen sleeper sofa, a 32 inch Flat Screen TV with Satellite TV, DVD, and an iPod docking station with CD and Radio. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is table seating for 4. The bedroom is located off the kitchen and is furnished with a Queen bed and a Twin Daybed with a Trundle, and 19 inch Flat Screen TV. The attached bath has a stand-up shower, no tub. This apartment is pet friendly with approval for dogs weighing under 25 lbs.

    Shared Amenities: There are two levels of large furnished porches for guests to enjoy the ocean breezes. The top-level porch features a nice ocean view. Rinse off after a day at the beach in one of two enclosed outdoor showers - a great amenity, especially for families. In the backyard, there is a patio with Gas Grill and seating available for guest use and a laundry room. All units feature WIFI access and Satellite TV. Off-street parking is available for 5 vehicles.

Not what we expected!

The rooms posted on the website did not match the configuration and caused a strain on our family vacation. The location was great but the grill did not work and was never given another one. We woke up to a cable line draped over our cars and the cable people never came to fix it.

Sadly this unit needs a lot of attention and has been disappointing from the start. I reported a couple of issues which were somewhat resolved but overall I have been less than satisfied with this unit. A towel bar fell off the wall - repaired but left a hole in the wall where it was previously hung. Shower handle fell off also repaired but unlikely it will stay in place. Grandkids picked up several rusty nails when playing outdoors. Live electrical wire in kitchen cabinet with wire nuts - easily accessible to a curious toddler. Water standing in shower where the floor already feels soggy. Continuous drip of water on stairs and stair rail - huge slip hazard. NO water pressure in bathroom or kitchen. Every dish had to be washed before using because of crusty old food particles on them. No bunk beds as advertised on website. No outlet near sink for hairdryer. Wheel missing on bed frame in one unit making bed lopsided. Furniture is dirty - not worn but dirty. When door lock stopped working at 9:45pm the customer service rep said he would “try” to get someone to come fix it - keep in mind we were locked out - then he hung up on me when I asked him to contact a supervisor if needed to get this resolved quickly - horrible customer service! I will say the first customer service rep I spoke to was pleasant and the maintenance tech that came for the door lock was very friendly. The last agent who called to discuss what management could do still has not recontacted with an update.

We had to call maintenance when we got there, the refrigerator never was what I considered to be cold. I would say it was lukewarm the whole time we were there. Also, when we arrived, we did not have water pressure in the kitchen. There is barely a stream at the kitchen sink that was never fixed also in the Primary bathroom upstairs. I’m still in Seaview one upstairs. The master primary bathroom at the sink had absolutely no water pressure just small stream, which is unacceptable as is the kitchen it was unacceptable never was repaired. We were told it was just the way it was. There’s nothing they could do about it. Very upsetting. Totally unacceptable for the price. I paid another problem which was unacceptable was in the Primary bathroom. There was no electrical outlets to get ready to go anywhere with hair dryers or curling irons, we had to go buy extension cords totally unacceptable. Also upstairs bathroom and see if you want bathroom down the hallway the knob kept falling off in the shower. Another problem was one of the bedrooms. The lights were not working. That was a huge issue now go downstairs there was water standing in the shower and muggy dirty water that would stand in the shower. It would not drain at all and so that unit had to go to another unit to take a shower that was never fixed. They said they were gonna come back and fix it and that never happened. Also, another bathroom had no electrical outlet so they had to go by extension cords. Totally unacceptally
