“I love Bar-Mel! It has been around for many years, so don't expect fancy, but the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The staff is awesome. A young man named Mo helped me with the tv remote when I couldn't find the volume button. I must have had a senior moment! He was so kind and even gave me a big hug!”

“No cooking utensils, no coffee maker, only two towels, no bar of soap, The shower/tub valve needs replacing resulting in very little water pressure. Beds were comfortable and parking was great.”

“The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!”

“We enjoyed this little cabin so much. It was in the perfect location to the lake and Bob’s cafe (our favorite place to eat.) It had plenty of parking space for boats and vehicles. It had a big deck on the back of the house facing the woods and a grill, which we used 2 nights. It had everything we needed to cook and the coffee pods that they supplied were great!
