Well kept property, isolated in the wood, comfy setup, cool patio front back and upstairs balconyOn the minus side: 1. Kitchen lacked some basic essentials (lighter for BBQ, herbs, cooking basics)2. Host was not very flexible to accommodate an important modification. Not sure why they were so resistant to helping a customer, we got it done eventually for a high price.

Relaxing 4th of july

It was the perfect retreat to enjoy the holiday with our friends and relax. The highlight of the weekend was to sleep to the sound of nature and rain.

Very nice house, but severely lacks maintenance.

Please note: the house needs maintenance- Window broken in kitchen, pantry door broken, moulding broken, both tubs need maintenance- upstairs tub does not stop water from draining, downstairs tub does not drain, carpets have many stains, upstairs fireplace has exposed wiring, front doors have a large gap which allows bug to enter the house. When we entered the house, there were about 50 dead bugs to the left of the front door. I contacted the company concerning the broken window and the upstairs tub not retaining water: the response was, try to plug the tub with a lid from the kitchen or a ziplock bag—- which was not helpful. For the price point I paid for this house, I should not have been expected to rig or fix anything- also, no refund or rebate was offered to me for not being able to use the main reason I rented the house (the upstairs tub). Very disappointed.

Quiet and relaxing!

Blue Springs Retreat was wonderful to stay at. We loved the layout of the house, enjoyed the serene setting and still being close to Wimberley and other state parks. It was amazing to be in the hot tub under a dark sky with stars. Just bring baking pans and serving platters if you plan to cook elaborate meals. Definitely recommend this property for those who want to relax and unplug from busy lives.

Relaxing and Just Lovely

Everything about Blue Spring Retreat was lovely. We arrived to a pristine home with everything neatly in place awaiting our arrival. Check in was a breeze, no trouble getting in. We enjoyed grilling steaks, the hot tub was fantastic, and we made friends with the windchime and had fun with it being energetically tied to our vibe. It was a gorgeous full moon on the weekend of our stay, and it was just perfect. :) Lovely place, and we will definitely be back!

Great Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and didn't want to leave when it was over. Secluded and peaceful. Soaking in the hot tub before bed was amazing! Be aware that the fireplace is no longer open to master bath, and all the fireplaces were turned off during our stay. Property manager advised that they are off during the warmer months. All on all great stay, would totally book again!

Peace and Quiet

If you are looking for a property close enough for entertainment but also peace and quiet this is for you! Each couple had their own space and bathroom. Outdoor space is wonderful and the hot tub was relaxing after a day at trade shows. Love the property! Will definitely keep this one on our favorites list!

Relaxing getaway

We stayed here over the holiday to be close to family. The house is fantastic—so many thoughtful little touches that make you feel at home. Love the layout and the upstairs bedroom is the perfect retreat! Loved the fireplaces both downstairs and upstairs, the views from the balcony and deck out back, and the beautiful kitchen! Definitely want to come back for another visit with hopefully better weather. Also loved how remote it felt but only a 15 min drive to downtown Wimberley.

AMAZING!!!

So I wanted to do something special for my wife on our 3 yr anniversary. I happened across this ad and checked it out. So glad I did!!! We had the best time ever!! We wanted to do a one with nature kinda thing and this was ever so perfect! The hot tub was the selling point for me and my wife was totally stoked about the fire place(s). Both fire places worked perfectly. The owner, Marcus, came over and turned the pilots on and brought over a brand new Weber kettle grill with new utensils. Super nice guy. We happened to come right after a cold front so the fire place and the hot tub were perfect. The fact that I could see all the constellations on a super clear and dark sky was awesome! The kitchen was well stocked with every possibility utensil and machinery one might need to cook a romantic dinner. They had organic coffee and teas available too. We will DEFINITELY be coming back! Beautiful country getaway

This place was absolutely perfect. My friends and I were in town for a church conference, and were looking for something out of town to have a true getaway from the hustle and bustle. We found it! This place is beautiful! The scenery, the quietness, the cleanliness of the home. We couldn’t be more pleased!

Properrty needs lots of attention

The grill was dilapidated, rusted out, filthy and unusable. It was also situated up against all the overgrown vines on the deck, which seemed very dangerous. No steak knives, so 6 of us shared one dull butcher knife and had to pick up our steaks and knaw on them like uncivilized cave people. Not one baking sheet for our bisquits and had to make a pan out of sheets of foil. The vines were so grown up we couldn't see anything from the porch deck. The pond was green and stinks. There was a filthy used ac filter on the porch. The oven door and front side was covered with liquid goo of some sort. There were only 2 dish towels to last 6 people a 3 night stay. The lights/elect kept dimming and cutting out periodically. The fridge and freezer was not very clean. Many more issues need attention. We still had fun, despite it all.

Beautiful hill county house

The house was wonderful- I booked it with four friends for a 40th birthday weekend after reading the other reviews. Everything was perfect. The house looked exactly like the pictures, very clean and beautifully decorated. We spent most of our time sitting on the back deck enjoying the view. But the kitchen was excellent for cooking and the ninja coffee maker was a nice surprise. We didn’t use the hot tub, but it was heated and ready to use when we arrived. The host was very responsive. Pro-tip: I found it was best to contact them directly instead of using the messaging within Venmo.

Relaxing reset

We had a Fantastic weekend all around. The property had everything we needed and more. The kitchen is well equipped, and so many little added provisions throughout the house made us appreciative of their attention to detail. I recommend this property and will certainly stay again.

Amazing get away
