T&G Getaway

Everything was beautiful like the pics but not as clean.Floors were dirty, a few roaches on the floor and under beds. The trash outside was full and left no room for us to throw trash in bins.Just needed a better cleaning but other than that we enjoyed the stay.Beautiful place!

Nice home, great for big family gatherings, but too many rules about guests. We would have loved to meet here for a dinner with our extended family, but your rules against that were a bummer.

House is not what it seems

The property is nice but it's not riverfront like the pictures show. The river is across the street. Access to the river was blocked by a gate with a motion sense alarm and the key was not easy to find. The house is unfinished. One of the sinks in the kitchen didn't have a faucet and the plumbing was exposed. Several of the light/fan fixtures didn't work at all or didn't work reliably. Many of them were wireless and had corresponding remotes (some worked and some didn't) so using the lights and fans was very confusing and frustrating. The indoor stairs had gaps/cracks in the wood coverings or were held together by tape. The art on the walls are blurry paper printouts. The kitchen has an induction stove but it didn't work. None of the buttons would work and we were unable to troubleshoot the issue. The oven attached to it also didn't work and when we tried to use the outdoor grill as a backup, it was out of propane. The house welcome pamphlet noted that trash bags were included, but each trash can in the home had a single bag which was quickly used so during cleanup, we had to take the trash out item-by-item. Check in was very late at 4pm (earlier requires a fee) and check out was very early at 10am (later requires a fee). When we couldn't cook breakfast on checkout day or find trash bags we requested 2 additional hours to make up for lost time and make sure the house was clean, we were denied and the cleaning crew showed up before we left. Don't stay at this house.

Great location, so so upkeep

Cute house, spacious. Right across the street to the river. It is a shared access that you have a key to use to lock/unlock the gate. Multiple people on the river with you, but convenient location. River was beautiful. General areas clean, but windows/doors/closets/etc… haven’t been cleaned in quite awhile. Very limited soap-hand/dishwasher/etc, one trash bag, limited supplies… Great big house, but when get contract it states no day guests/visitors. Located just outside Wimberely on River Road, drive/park to town. Quiet & peaceful.

Great House!

The house had plenty of space for our two combined families of seven to spread out. There are some minor repairs that need to be taken of in the house (towel bars off the wall, toilet paper holder pulled from the wall, but nothing that made it not functional. We did document with pictures so not to be blamed for damages and that could be a worry to other renters. The spot was fantastic--quiet and serene--coffee on the amazing porch was a must for us both days. House was clean and there were plenty of dishes and utensils. I would suggest stocking some foil, baggies, etc. for those who might need to keep things fresh. I would also suggest some sort of address marker as River Road can be busy with blind spots--looking for the house at night could be daunting and dangerous! Overall it was a great pick and we plan on returning for another weekend!

Great stay in Wimberley!

This house is great for families. Plenty of space upstairs and down to spread out. Kitchen was great and the fire pit and river access were wonderful. Would certainly book again!

Nice stay

The home is as pictured, spacious and with modern touches. We enjoyed the large kitchen and the deck space was lovely. Unfortunately there were some issues with water pressure, several towel racks and toilet paper holders were falling out of the walls and the fireplace was being repaired during our stay.

Gorgeous home with beautiful surroundings

Huge home with all the amenities. We were so impressed with the house and surrounding area, including close proximity to private river access. Enough space for a large family unit with plenty of living and sleeping spaces. Just beautiful.

Wedding Trip

Our family stayed here for a long weekend while we attended a wedding in Wimberley. The home was very roomy with great outdoor spaces. Good location near the river and close to town. Would stay here again.

Gorgeous house!

This house was perfect for what we needed, it is gorgeous and just as described! We really enjoyed our time here. Loved the kitchen, the open space, the hangout nooks, the river access, etc. It has all the amenities. TWO ISSUES, unfortunately: first, the water was shut down on our last day by 7am. We had to leave with one toilet unflushed. (We were so relieved we had washed dishes the night before.) I attempted to communicate with the landlord that Saturday morning, to no avail. There was only voicemail, and to this day we never received a call back. And I have to admit that that really upset the whole family. Everything was so perfect until that happened. I would recommend requesting a cell phone # where someone is reachable on the weekends, if you intend to rent here.

Wildlife

If you're looking for a great place to see wildlife then this is your place to stay. Everything from seeing the deers, coyotes, fishes, and cockroaches. The house has a great floor plan with enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a big party. The outdoor living space is amazing at night to chill after a long day at the river.
