This property is absolutely breathtaking. The pictures don't do it justice. Quite frankly this is the first vacation where my friends and I have said "this place is better than we expected." The whole house was clean. The views were amazing. The kitchen was stocked so well we felt right at home cooking in it. The coffee bar was THE BEST! There was a burn ban and also it rained the whole time we were there, so we didn't get to utilize the fire pits or the telescope, but we did get to use some of the other fun things they left like binoculars and fun games! The couch is soooooo comfy and the blankets they had were soft (this is important because you know a girls trip needs a good couch and some warm blankets). We cannot say enough good things about our stay. We felt so at home and relaxed staying here - which was just what we were looking for. The only downside was that we didn't book a longer stay. But we will be coming back!! Thank you to the hosts, too, for answering our messages quickly and with professionalism. It was appreciated!

We would have left 5 stars, but a few things stood in the way. The house itself is beautiful in a great location. Definitely one of the better options in Wimberly. But when we arrived the AC was set to 85 and the smart thermostat was very glitchy. It ended up being difficult to manage the entire trip, and there are automatic times when the temp resets to 75 so we were constantly having to argue with the thermostat to bring it to a more comfortable temp. Also, while certain areas were very clean, the house hadn’t been dusted in awhile, and there were large clumps of dust, some debris, and even a couple of mouse droppings in the bathroom. I know we are in the country but it was obvious no one swept. Also, there were adult and child fingerprints all over the glass doors. Certain areas had so much dust you could write in it with your finger. We immediately notified the property manager but their only solution was to have someone come out while we were staying there so that wouldn’t work (didn’t want dust on our stuff from cleaning). Since check in isn’t until 4pm and checkout is 10am, we asked to at least not have to pay the cleaning fee or perhaps be able to check out later, but were granted neither. Bring cone coffee filters! The coffee bar is awesome but you need cone filters. The pro’s were the wonderful pool, tons of seating, beautiful landscaping, and the game room was awesome. No place is perfect, but for the amount paid, the housekeeping really needs to be better.

We stayed here back in March and loved it so much that we had to come back. If you are looking for a private get-a-way with everything you need to enjoy the stay, this is the place. Beautiful setting, great waterfall cocktail pool to relax and cool off in. Games for the kids, and a game barn for the adults to boot! The deer congregate in the morning and evening at the front of the house and this time the turkeys came around too. At the end of the day you have super comfortable beds to get a good nights sleep. The photos are very accurate so, what you see is what you get. We love it here and will probably return each year, if it is available.

Most incredible getaway property!!

Immediatly upon arrival we were so impressed with the property! Absolutley beautiful, so well appointed, amazing views, and relaxing pool and waterfall. The entertainment barn was a big hit with the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, it was so nice at the house we didn't even want to go out. We will definatly be back!

Exceeded our expectations!!

I want to give it a terrible rating so that nobody else discovers this place, but I would be lying through my teeth! My husband and I recently had our 35th wedding anniversary earlier in March. We decided to book a celebration vacay after the fact to avoid any spring break madness. We love spending time outdoors, near any source of water, but don't necessarily love crowds. Also, the natural rivers and water holes in Texas are pretty much almost dry, or very low so, when I saw this property on VRBO, I jumped on it.When we arrived, we were blown away! The PERFECT design and set-up for a secluded get-away. We slept in a bit, enjoyed Wimberly shops/eateries a bit and enjoyed the waterfall and plunge pool during the warmer parts of the day. Just perfect! They thought of all conveniences and added touches. I always pack things like extra towels and linens, cooking pans, wooden utensils, koozies, cork screw, coffee grinder and coffee beans, etc - other than the coffee grinder (which they probably had tucked away somewhere), I didn't need anything I took. I had even contemplated taking my air purifier (yes, I often travel with one for the room we sleep in) but they had one already in the master bedroom - PERFECT! The attention to detail at this house and property are spectacular. We enjoyed the game barn one of the evenings as well and it is also well stocked with a mini fridge and lots of really fun games. We played many of them and had a really good time! We will be back next yr!

Wonderful!

Our family had an excellent stay! We loved the location — far enough out to feel relaxed and disconnected, but close enough to drive to a couple of great dinners. We enjoyed watching the deer and turkeys each day. Our kids (and we) loved the games in the barn. The property was well kept, clean, and beautiful. We hope to stay here again in the future!

Perfect, Private Wildlife Fun

Booked this trip for my wife, her sister and her Mom and they loved this location! I think they spent more time outside enjoying the pool and other amenities, and the deer & wild turkey, than they did inside. The home was as beautiful as the pictures, and the property manager was quick to respond to any questions they had. Can't wait to book again for just my wife and I to enjoy!

Gem in the hill country

We were impressed with the comfort and views provided by this home. From the spacious shared living area to the relaxing plunge pool, the very comfortable beds and of course the entertainment "barn", where we spent hours playing darts, listening to music and Jenga!!

Sweet Escape

Everything about this property was not only exactly as described but above and beyond. As the pictures show, it’s beautiful inside and out and such a great place for that sweet escape. As a city family with teens, this was a great hill country getaway that really thought of everything. Their backyard oasis, game room barn and beautiful views were what we needed. Well stocked with Everything we forgot. Our week long stay was a dream. Cannot stop raving about it. We will certainly be back.

Quick Break in Hill Country

What a wonderful place. Exactly what we wanted, quiet, relaxing, close to nature!!! Look out for all the deer! Property was clean and as described. Would stay here again.
