“The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble. You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. Check-in was easy and, although we originally planned to stay for a couple of days, we were made so welcome, decided to stay for two more. “There was only one member of staff there over our 2 day stay & she was really nice and helpful (she seemed to be covering reception, housekeeping & kitchen). Got to say all the public areas could do with a good hoover and the skylight in our room was covered in green algae. Our room was clean (apart from the skylights) but small. Breakfast was really poor for the price we paid. Hotel in general needs a good update as has loads of potential.”

“I stayed there because I had to visit some customers really close. It seems like this place it's more for weddinds or other celebrations than for staying in. The service was not helpful at all. Breakfast it's included but there was a team of people just chatting and nobody came to explain what could I order. I had to go and ask and they were not kind at all. I won't definitely come back.”

“Room was clean, but property needs maintenance - peeling paint on room sash window, hook on bathroom door broken off and missing. Otherwise very comfortable, Continental Breakfast good and staff lovely.”
