“The staff were very friendly. We arrived by bike and they were helpful with storing those. The rooms comfortable and clean. The only complaint was the food which was bland in flavour and not up to the standard of the rest of the place ”

“A lovely stay at the Royal Oak for one night. Very friendly and attentive staff. They were more than happy to arrange late access to the property due to us having to return to the room late at night. Breakfast was excellent, with options for full English or kippers, plus plenty of toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurt. The car park is very small, and can't accommodate all vehicles, however there is ample parking on the road at the front of the property. The room was comfortable with clean linens....

“Parking was free, but spaces are extremely small and difficult to park. Only on electrical outlet available in the entire room. Restaurant was not open on the night we stayed”

“Great place to stay with grwt facilities. Lovely spacious room and easy check in. The only thing was that the check out time was incorrect on Expedia to the actual check out time so had to get out of the room earlier than planned. ”

“I can't really fault it. The property is nice, staff were really nice, the room was just what we hoped for. We had a lovely evening meal followed by a good nights sleep. Breakfast options were all cooked options, although I'm not a breakfast eater so only had some toast. ”
