“Catherine, the owner, was the perfect hostess with nothing being too much trouble. She even texted to make sure everything was OK and to ensure she was about when I arrived. The room was clean and well provisioned. Breakfast was a full English and cooked fresh. There was also a selection of cereals and fruits. The village is about a mile away and has a convenience store, pub and Indian restaurant.”

“Lovely place to stay. Great hosts, really friendly and very helpful. Fernleigh is on a nice quiet street. A couple of good pubs just round the corner. The owners even mòved their car so we could tuck our motorbike on the drive. Would recommend without question. Oh,and a first class breakfast with proper tea!”

“Simply stunning place to stay. Tucked away at the end of a picturesque country lane. Accommodation is top drawer. Peaceful and very relaxing. Walkable into Sandsend for fish and chips. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast - top notch. A real gem. ”

“Warm welcome received by host. Very friendly. Parking to rear of hotel bit of a squeeze as was busy but not a big issue. Room on top floor was quirky with comfortable bed and leather sofa. Quiet and spotlessly clean with a fridge whi h came in handy and even a microwave hidden away. Full breakfast was piping hot and plenty enough. The fruit plate was a little sparse to be fair but it was exactly what it says on the tin...a plate with fruit so no complaints. Great location in a quiet area but...

“Good location close to the Minster. Room was on the main road side of the building, but we'll sound proofed. Some noise from the bar, but this is expected in a pub. Problem with loss of hot water pressure on the final morning was irritating, but these things happen. Clean and comfortable. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on the food. ”

“La propiedad es muy hermosa y tienes todo lo que necesitas. Tiene estacionamiento cerca y puedes ir caminando al centro. Lo único malo fue que llegamos después de las 4 y ya no había nadie para abrirnos. Nos habían mandado un mensaje que nos darían las instrucciones para entrar y nada. Mandamos mensajes a la propiedad por la app no contestaban. Tuvimos que pedir un celular prestado a un local para poder llamarlos y que nos dijeran cómo entrar ”
