We loved our stay at Casa de los Reyes! It was affordable compared to other hotels in the area. It was across the street from the Santa Clara which is one of the nicest in the Walled City. The main door to the hotel is locked 24/7 and you have to be let in, so security is not an issue. The room was small but comfortable. There was no bathroom door in our room, which took some getting used to, but that may be the way in South America. The wifi was spotty, but it was everywhere in Cartagena so that is of no fault of the hotel. Check in was easy, and although there was a language barrier, the staff did all they could to help. There is free breakfast every morning in the courtyard. It is not great, but it's free and there's not many places for breakfast in the Walled City so we took advantage. There is no elevator or lift, but they kindly helped us with our bags. Shopping and restaurants are nearby, as you can walk to anywhere in the Walled City.
