“Beautiful setting, very abundant plant life. We enjoyed the coqui frogs serenading us at night. The native fruit grown on the property was a treat along with the homemade banana bread. Only issue was musty when first opened, cleared fairly well when ac was turned on. Dogs barking at times at night woke us up. Beautiful place, comfortable with everything you need. ”

“We were there Jan14-17 2026. It’s an older home tucked into a quiet neighborhood about 25 miles north of Hilo—so it’s a bit remote if that matters to you. We loved the location and neighborhood. As someone else mentioned, the interior has a cozy “Maine cabin” feel, but it’s nice and clean, with amenities as advertised. The deck is huge and very comfortable, with an amazing view over the North Pacific! The owners are great—very communicative and helpful. We left the doors open and screens closed...

“The property owned by Chad and Jennifer is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The property is large and immaculately maintained with gorgeous landscaping and outstanding views. We saw many whales from the lovely garden. Chad was very accommodating and we enjoyed our breakfasts on the lanai. The Banyan Suite was lovely. We would definitely stay again.”

“10-Star Stay in Laupāhoehoe!We spent 4 wonderful nights at this amazing waterfront condo in Laupāhoehoe near Hilo, and it was absolutely perfect. The setting is breathtaking—right on the ocean with beautiful views and the most peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. We loved sitting on the lanai listening to the waves, and we were even lucky enough to spot whales passing by!The condo was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed.
