If you're "city folk", you might find the drive up (consisting of some twists and turns) intimidating, but it's navigable in 2WD/FWD during non-winter times. I drove it a number of times in 2WD in a half-ton pickup and another drove it in a FWD car, no issues. “We had everything we needed! Since we were close to Walmart and a grocery store, we were able to shop and then cook all our meals in the big fully stocked kitchen. Beds and sheets were nice. Shower heads a little leaky. Everything was clean, with plenty of towels, hair dryers, and shower supplies. We were even able to run a quick load of laundry! Minor complaint: the backyard is not landscaped or really safe for letting the kids play out there or set up for us to hang out. There was a grill that...

Great location within walking distance to the river walking trail, a brewery, a coffee shop and other eateries. “This little place is super cute and SO easy to stay in. The light switches and drawers all included labels, so finding things was really simple. Lots of really cool pine countertops, tables and shelves (if you appreciate quality woodwork). The location was quiet and pastoral, but only a few miles from Cortez and its assortment of restaurants. If I ever head to Mesa Verde again - which I may - this will be my first choice.”
