Surf city shindig

Everything was great and well provisioned. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to everything in surf city and short drive to Publix. Lots of new beach chairs and a shade sail (shibumi). Great layout with family gathering on top floor, adults second kids on first. Loved the location would definitely rent again.

Amazing beach house

This beach house was huge! There was lots of room for everyone to spread out. The basketball and foosball were great for the boys. We loved that the two queen rooms went out to the hot tub. There are 4 full showers! They also provide shower towels and beach towels. The two washers and dryers were great to keep up with the towels. The top floor is stunning. Beautiful views and desk. The huge table was great for a big family dinner. You can’t beat the location. It’s a short walk to get a coffee, ice cream or dinner. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Great house

Great property and especially great location—beach right out the back door and many shops and restaurants within a very short walking distance. House is well stocked with all the necessities and on-site manager responds immediately with any questions or concerns. We’ve stayed at this property twice now and can’t wait to return.

Amazing ocean views in the middle of town

Perfect property for our mini family reunion. Gorgeous views of the ocean and pier, and literally steps away from everything Surf City has to offer. We enjoyed watching surfers and dolphins daily from the expansive third floor living area and deck. The local property manager, Christine, was friendly, helpful and extremely responsive. Highly recommend!

Great time catching up with family! The sunrise and sunset views are stunning from every room! Great communication from the property manager. The kitchen is very well stocked for any kind of food prep and cooking!

Just what the doctor ordered

Overall great place. The location was the best part...right on the ocean, right off the bridge, and walking distance to restaurants, shops, grocery, and night life. We gave the house a four in a couple of areas because it just doesn't show as well as the pictures...overall it was surface clean, but it's definitely time for a deep clean (beach houses are tough with climate and sand...so some is understandable). My preference is that if it's pictured a certain way, it should be that way when you arrive...and this one fell short a bit on that. Best views in the house are from the third level (kitchen and living room)....great deck with elevated chairs to see the full beach, ocean, and sky! Having said that, we'd rent this one again.

Perfect getaway

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Sweet Escape, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The property is conveniently located near shops and restaurants that are within walking distance. The beach house comes with all the amenities that one could ask for. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare family meals, and there is an outdoor grill to use for cookouts. The deck is furnished with lounge chairs as well as 4 tall chairs, so you have unobstructed views of the ocean. The house was exceptionally clean, the beds were comfortable, and all the linens were provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we definitely will book the Sweet Escape again!!

Gorgeous views with everything you need!

Perfect house for 3 families for a long weekend. House had everything we needed (and then some). And they were very responsive to small concerns. Loved being beachfront and also able to walk to Shaka Tacos! Thanks for a great get away.

Wonderful family home

We had a fabulous time at Sweet Escape for a family birthday celebration. Beautiful home with fabulous views. Loved being close to food options and pier. Kitchen is gorgeous and well stocked. Christine was so kind and accommodating. Recommend highly!

Amazing family time

What a great way for extended family to be together and have fun. We ate walking distance in town, cooked one dinner, enjoyed the beach and pier, saw dolphins, spinner sharks, and spent Saturday watching the surf competition out our back door. We went to the Turtle rescue tour, and on an all you can eat oyster boat-ecology tour. Late September was a wonderful time to go. It wasn’t too hot or humid and being from Arizona we didn’t mind a few short showers. We highly recommend this beautiful home.

Great Location!!

This house sits in a perfect location with local restaurants, coffee shop/ice cream and the local grocery store. You can walk out the back door from two bedrooms or the upstairs living room and head right to the beach!! Christine was excellent on communication. Would surely recommend this home.

Oceanfront dream!

What a beautiful property and location. We had enough parking for 5 cars and once we parked them, we walked everywhere! The house accommodated our multiple families so well and we loved being steps from the beach. The beach itself was also well maintained and beautiful.

Good size for family

We enjoyed our stay . House was nice bedrooms were small better for children than adults . Master bedroom was comfortable. Living area nice but couch not real comfortable .Property manager was nice and replied quickly. Overall great place to stay but alittle pricey

Great location!

We had a great week staying at Sweet Escape. The owner and property manager were very easy to communicate with and made the check in and check out process very easy. They were very accommodating to allow us to bring our dog and have basically thought of all the necessities. It was nice to not have to worry about linens and all the paper products- all of it was provided. So much nicer than having to bring or rent linens (as I’ve had to do at other properties in the past). And the appliances are so nice and up to date - with two full size washers and dryers! The only thing we did do was purchase another electric frying pan because almost all of the pans in the kitchen were smaller and warped from use. There was a really large electric griddle and that got used every day - but with our large group we needed another big pan. The views are amazing and it’s great to be in walking distance to so many things - including the pier. The only drawback for me was that it is directly next to a busy public access and I feel like it could get crowded on the beach especially during the busier season. However, I would definitely give this a five star rating and stay there again! We love Surf City!!

Very nice house

The house is wonderful with everything you need for a great vacation. The beach is right outside the back door, and so much to do in Surf City right outside the front door within easy walking distance. Highly recommend.

Friend Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our time away together at your place. Everything was wonderful. They have everything you need and then some. Tons of stuff to do for kids (games, beach toys, etc.) and lots of stuff within walking distance. We got to see the Dolphin Plunge while there and that was a fun experience for all! If you aren’t used to stairs, you are in for a workout but it comes with a beach house. Waking up to the sunrise and waves everyday made up for it 😉 The only con was the beds. Not sure if they were recently replaced but the 2 queens and king are very hard and uncomfortable. Bring an egg-crate if you need a softer bed. Other than the beds, we loved the house and our time there and would stay again and recommend it to others.

Sweet Escape Getaway

Our stay at Sweet Escape was absolutely amazing. This is our third time here in the Topsail/Surf City area and we really love it here. I will begin my review of the home by noting on Jamie’s true professionalism and courtesy throughout the entire booking process. He made everything so easy and was there to answer any of my questions. Now the home was one of the nicer ones my family and I have stayed in. Located in the heart of Surf City, you could basically walk to most of the amenities. My dad and I love to fish and it was really awesome to have the pier right beside us. The house itself was a real “gem”. It had plenty of space for big families, was very clean and neat, and was equipped with most of the basic necessities. I’m a grown man but a kid at heart so I really enjoyed the basketball game and foosball table. And last but not least, THE VIEW was the best part. Listening to the waves crash at night and in the morning was truly enjoyable. I recommend this property to anyone searching for a relaxing getaway. Thanks and great job!!~Eric

Perfect Family Vacation

Sweet Escape was our home for a week and was absolutely perfect!! We loved how clean it was and it had everything from a coffee bar to a fully stocked kitchen to the most amazing view!! We had plenty of room for our group of 11 adults and were spoiled with a washer and dryer for those salt water swimsuits at the end of the day. Christina was lovely and was helpful throughout our stay for any questions or needs that we had!!! We will definitely be back!

Location, Location, Location!

This is a beautiful home, nicely updated and large enough to accommodate a big family. It is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops which is very convenient. The house is great for kids - mine especially liked the basketball game in their room. There are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, and towels - everything you need for the beach! The back deck has stunning views and is very private, another perk we enjoyed. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. There are 2 washers and dryers to help you keep up with the laundry during your stay. The property manager was readily available and texted me the morning of our stay with her contact information if we needed anything. If you want to be close to everything in Surf City, do yourself a favor and stay here!
