The fireplace was perfect for a romantic evening cuddled up on the couch (playing Mario cart 😄) By day we explored the local area neither of us drink wine but the area is stunning. “We had a wonderful time at this beautiful historic hotel. The staff are the greatest asset, and provide genuine, heartfelt excellent service in everything they do. The team that looks after the rooms is also exceptional. Having seen some other people’s reviews, I think you need to bear in mind that this is a building which is more than 100 years old, and it has been updated to a very comfortable and pleasant experience. “Our room was very warm and cosy, felt very at home here. Location was great! Bed was beautiful and soft. Easy parking. Staff were happy and helpful. Italian restaurant on the property was delicious also.”

“Very disappointed with this hotel. TV did not work. Tablet rebooted every time placed in docking station despite being powered down. Light & fan in bathroom on auto for 5 minutes even if just walking past & not entering. Very frustrating in middle of night. Needs soundproofing. Despite being on 6th floor we could hear lots of street noise. Very disturbed night. Bar closed at 9pm just as theatre finished. Would not stay again.”
