“The Shores was an amazing property to stay at. So close everything. The private beach was on the smaller side but still perfect with larger public beaches very close by. The pool and hot tub were a HUGE hit. You can tell that the board members care deeply about the property. The condo itself was very spacious and fit our family of 4 with room to spare. “My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights while birding the fantastic Magee Marsh. The location was great, with nice views and proximity to many good restaurants in Port Clinton. The condo itself was very comfortable and well-stocked with everything you need. We especially enjoyed relaxing out on the decks, and overall had a terrific time! “I think it’s great to see the renovation of downtown Sandusky. We used to be here often raising our family on the water. Only ding is it’s next to a public park that motorcycle traffic and revving of engines is very common and noisy if you expect quiet getaway. We expect to revisit as often as possible. 👍👍👏👏”

“I make frequent trips to the area for wildlife photography, this one for the Biggest Week. I have stayed at a variety of VRBOs located at the Green Cove Resort. This has been the best and most cleanly one yet. Check in is easy and the hosts have provided everything you could need from snacks and bottled water to keurig coffees, condiments, board games and more. “Ideal location right on the lake. Short walk to the ferry to Cedar Point. Amazing workout room and outdoor pool. Easy walk to all of downtown Sandusky with amazing food and entertainment options. The condo was the best we have ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Fun spirited with a totally working foosball coffee table, a throne in the corner, an arcade console upstairs and a bunch of board games. Perfect for family time together. The open deck gave a beautiful view of the lake, and we walked out back to see the eclipse. The location is amazing, and we walked to downtown PC several times. “The island in general and the property in particular were great! Everyone on the island was extremely friendly and polite. Charles was extremely proactive about communication and responsive, the check in process was smooth and easy and the property managers provided plenty of detail about the logistics of getting to the property. I really felt like we went into the trip with both eyes wide open and somehow the property still exceeded expectations. Simply saying the property had a "lake view"...

“This one bedroom, one bathroom condo has an awesome view of Lake Erie out the back window. The condo is clean, comfortable, and cozy. The location is very convenient to Port Clinton and adjacent activities. We had an awesome time.”

“Our condo was clean and cozy. The coffee shop on the island was top notch and everyone was friendly. The shuttle service wasn't real dependable but they do show up and do their best. I think it is more of a staffing issue. All in all, we enjoyed our weekend and would consider returning.”

“We accepted the fact that we booked this condo with nothing to do on this island. This particular condo was janky. The overall layout and view at this building is great. I paid a hefty cleaning fee to stay here too. The entire space smelled like undiluted cleaner when we walked in. But oddly, nothing was clean. We tried to air it out, but there were holes all over the screen to the balcony. So it was bugs all night or the smell. The towels reeked; like they were washed without soap and left in...

“Kitchen and dishes were filthy and had some kind of gunk in the sink/glasses. Dirty balcony and sheets.”

“This place was in a nice community, but the house was a dump. It was difficult to find and not very clean. There was a hole in the shower surround, the bikes were rusted, and there was a window and door that were obviously almost broken, upon arrival. The owners will charge you an arm and a leg if you don't take the trash out, place the used sheets on the floor, put dishes away, etc. We will not be staying at this vrbo again, but will be returning to Middle Bass Island.”
