“Interesting place to stay! The estate really is beautiful, and my room was very spacious. The AC was a little wonky but otherwise no issues with anything in the room. Shower and tv worked fine. I saw some reviews saying guests couldn’t get in touch with the staff but they answered me pretty quickly when I contacted them. All in all a pretty enjoyable stay”

“The Melville is a perfect location! the Melville is a historic property, so don't expect modern, but for what we wanted it was perfect - the location AND onsite parking! It was also next door to the Vanderbilt Hotel and we enjoyed their cocktails on the rooftop with gorgeous views of the harbor and watched the sunset. Yes, it's old but charming. “We enjoyed our stay here since we could walk to the beach and restaurants. The cottage was clean, but small as the photos show. Best for just 2 or 3 people. Very quiet neighborhood. Short drive to downtown area and the mansions. The wi-fi wouldn't connect for us, but no other issues. ”

Extremely comfy bed with beautiful decor, and effective air conditioning. Walking distance to the best, most vibrant area of Newport. We only wish we could have stayed longer! “We truly enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Inn. The Inn and our room were beautiful, clean and cozy. Liz was super friendly and helpful, and no details were missed. We enjoyed the daily breakfast, snacks, boardgames, and hot tea in the afternoon! Close walking distance to the wharf - but im assuming the Hilltop name was a nod to thier location - it's uphill from the Wharf! Would highly recommend!”
