A double booked holiday with no notice, no help and nowhere to go with two young children. Our family holiday has been ruined. Absolutely disgusting. We travelled over 210 miles to reach our holiday destination, The Interstellar - luxury hotel tub at Percy Wood Country Park. We had booked this and paid in full back in July.We reached the site on Thursday. We reversed the car, my husband got out, the children all very excited after travelling 2 hours in the heat only for my husband to return and say we have been double booked. We received a message from the host Terry through Vrbo simply saying, Sorry Gary there has been a double booking. We are sorry but will try and help find something else for you. That was the last after we heard from the host, who completely ignored all communication with us. Just forgotten with no help and nowhere to go with two children aged 1 and 3 at 4pm in the middle of nowhere. My son crying and inconsolable, why he couldn’t go into the caravan. My little girl who needed her milk. No thought, no help, no refund, nothing. We didn’t know what to do, we went to the local pub to ask for help and to feed the children whilst my husband was stood outside trying to get help through Vrbo, for 3 hours. Being cut off due to the network coverage. They had nowhere for us to go. This whole situation was extremely stressful for us all and the heat didn’t help. All I kept wondering was why Terry had said in the message they would help us and ignored us
