“We have stayed at the Skipton hotel on a number of occasions and always felt that it was good value for money. There has been some improvements to the property in particular the restaurant. Unfortunately there has been a deterioration in the breakfast!! The coffee served from a heated urn was not hot and when I remarked on this the waitress lifted the lid and remarked well there was steam! The breakfast area was rather cramped which made serving yourself difficult and again the hot breakfast was...

“We stayed for a week over Christmas. The room was clean, comfy and fairly modern. The staff were amazing; helpful and respectful every time we spoke to them. The breakfast was good; selection of cereals, yogurts, fruit and pastries for a light breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and beans if you wanted something hot. “The Hotel for the price you pay was ok. The bed was clean, however no mattress protection was laid down. The bathroom was also clean. The rest of the room as not as clean as i would have hoped and looked tired. The location however is excellent! “We stayed in the Linwood Suite for 1 night. The room was spacious, luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast was of a high quality. The room is immediately above the function area and noise travels easily (there was a wedding reception) - we weren't warned about this previously but it was not a problem as we went out to dinner and the noise quietened down before midnight. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by loud noise in the room. It was a mechanical noise which sounded like a generator...
