“This was just the right home for our group of eight this Christmas. The open layout was great for snacking, puzzles and conversation and the large dining room table overlooking the pool and back yard was perfect for meals. Beds were comfortable and location was convenient to restaurants and a nice church for Christmas Eve service. Loved the outdoor fireplace and would love to return in the summer to enjoy the pool and backyard area. Would definitely recommend for family gatherings.”

“My family (ten of us) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The space was gorgeous, both indoor and out, and the kitchen contained all the dishes, utensils, and staples we needed to cook a few meals. We loved the pool and the hammock and the nearby walking trail, and there was enough space for all of us to get ready at the same time - we attended a wedding in Hudson Bend. My only suggestion is maybe some more towel hooks in the secondary bathroom upstairs, as there were 5 of us...

“The experience we had for 3 days at this Vrbo was awesome! It is a little off the beaten path in terms of downtown Austin, but the area offers a lot within a short distance. Food and drinks, grocery, catering, etc were all very very manageable. The separation of buildings and sleeping arrangements allows everyone to have space and time as needed! The pool is great and many activities are provided for your use, which we took full advantage off. My few suggestions would be to add more hosting...

“We enjoyed the Walker Villa overlooking Travis Lake for four nights including the total solar eclipse of 2024. Paula, our host, was very proactive and helpful while we planned the details of the trip; she was great! The Villa itself is roomy, tastefully decorated, and extremely well-equipped if you choose to self-cater. Furniture is lovely and comfy, beds are great, and the patio overlooking the lake is furnished with a six-chair table and a comfortable L-shaped couch that saw a lot of lounging...

“We stayed for a few days. Nice to have adequate space for everyone to sleep. We had 9 and everyone had a bed. Minor cleanliness issues that we easily overlooked for our needs for a nice place to stay while visiting Austin and the surrounding area. Owner was very responsive and covered any questions we had.”

The place could use a few minor improvements--blinds in bedroom should be replaced because several slats are broke, could use some more hangars(there might be 8) and it would be nice if they supplied beach towels. “This place was very good! The instructions were clear and lots of great recommendations for things to do. My only critiques are that there was a weird smell when we first walked in that only got marginally better over our stay. Also, bring your own blankets because you are only provided a thin sheet and blanket.”

“Swim park amenities are only open Thursday through Sunday - property description needs to be corrected! Oven was broken - reported to Vacasa but not repaired. No instructions regarding digital thermostats or entertainment system. Bottom Line - we will not stay in any property managed by Vacasa going forward. In addition, we would not recommend the Reserve at Lake Travis unless you plan to stay Thursday through Sunday.”
