“Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. Really enjoyed staying here and it made it incredibly easy to walk to and from the train station to get bus tickets. Would definitely tell friends to stay here in the future. ”

“Old Showa style minimalistic ryokan, but the room for 5 was spacepus (double room) and the tatami beds and beddings arw comfortable. Self-service to put the futon (which was no problem for us). Power plugs and Wifi were abundant. We were fine with steps but for eldery or disabled it may be a challenge. The hot spring bath was nice. The temperature may be on a hot side but i think it is pretty standard. The tub was indeed made of wood (I assume hinoki).The place seemed to have a fair number of...

“Not only is this lodge one of kind, the owners and staff set it apart by offering a very special experience for all guests. We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by the owner welcoming us in and getting us settled in our room. They made sure we got sorted in the morning and ready for our Myoko Adventure. “非常に満足しています。最高のお宿でした。 戸倉上山田温泉全体は少し古い温泉街で、こちらも歴史のあるお宿ですが、至るところにリフォームが施されており全く古さを感じません。 何より掃除が行き届いています。歴史ある宿を「古びている」と感じるか「趣がある」と感じるかは掃除が大事だと実感しました。 従業員の教育もしっかりされており、温かいおもてなしを受けました。 食事の時にご挨拶に来ていただいたとても感じがよく美しいおかみさんが意欲的に頑張っていらっしゃるのだと思います。 応援したくなるお宿です。信州に再訪の際はまたぜひ利用したいと思います。 ”

“I don’t believe this accommodation justify the cost if you will stay at this property without dinner and breakfast. I was able to reduce the expense for a night to c. $55 by using Expedia credits equal to $30, but if I didn’t have it, I would recommend to stay another one. Far from the center of Matsumoto Nothing was around the property Nothing would be provided to kids, such as amenities, welcoming tea and snacks, basically. The only nicer point was hot spring with good scene”
