“Awesome location, and it’s one of two hotels in the valley, so there’s not much competition. Room was ok, modern big bathroom but as it was top floor, care needs to be taken to avoid constantly bumping your head on the sloping ceiling. FOH Staff were great and very friendly. When Katy was there, everything seemed to work fine. When she wasn’t, things were different. There was a new staff member who was single handedly taking evening meal orders, manning the bar, reception, waiting on tables,...

“Loved the position of the hotel, quiet and very well run. Well maintaned and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, very good choice and service. We thought the meal in the Brasserie was a bit overpriced, and not the best choice. We had a lovely trip on the Lake upto Bowness and Ambleside and had our main meals there. Blessed by good weather we had a wonderful time.”

“We had to leave very early the next morning to take part in the Macmillan Mighty Hike and the staff accommodated us, giving us instructions on how we could check ourselves out, thank you! My only complaint would be the showerhead in our room was very grimy and should be replaced, otherwise the room was excellent!”

“The staff at this hotel are absolutely excellent. Room facilities great, but the room was on the first floor and I had asked for accessible room as my husband has severe mobility issues. In effect when he left the room it was a struggle for him to go back during the day until he absolutely had to.”

“Parking spaces very tight. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Food superb and plenty of it (although a bit pricey). Room lacking fridge and windows painted shut except one the kept closing when opened. Bed comfy. Bathroom well apppointed although basin was very low. Had to stoop to use it. Hotel well maintained and was very good.”
