“Outside HOA needs work - steps/rail, platform in front of door needs to be larger to left of door. It would help to just take screen door off - creating more space These are safety/liability issues that did not detract from the property itself.”

“We absolutely loved this beautiful home! The spacious deck, cozy fireplace, and breathtaking views were truly amazing. Everything was perfect, and we felt the thoughtful touches and care in every little corner of the house. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay. We will definitely be back next fall and would happily recommend this wonderful place to all our friends! Thank you so much for such a lovely and memorable experience!”

“Wonderful stay and the host was excellent!”

“A beautiful home surrounded by a forest setting. Conveniently located near all Cashiers activates. We had a wonderful stay.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this mountain home. It's a beautiful home and extremely well stocked with supplies. The yard is very spacious and the trail down to the river is great hike for all family members. Our dog especially enjoyed it. You could not ask for a better host than Todd. We had just a couple questions for him and his responses were instantaneous and helpful. ”

“Cute tiny cabin in a great location. We had a couple hiccups when we arrived and they were responded to quickly. Check-in was quick and we had a good time.”

“Great location and perfect for our stay!”

“Adorable cabin with a covered deck overlooking the lake. Lots of charm and perfect for a couple’s getaway. Very comfortable bedding. Walking distance to Cashiers Crossroads, so also a great location. Highly recommend it!”

“Great little cabin in a tiny community of similar cabins. Very quiet and serene, but very close to the center of Cashiers.”

“We had very good experience, host was really nice and helpful, tiny house was very clean, short distance from WCU”

“Hilda’s Hideaway was the perfect getaway for our 4th of July weekend. The cabin is cozy and a great spot to enjoy all activities in the area. The cabin was very clean and included everything needed for our weekend. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the loft with the king bed. It was very comfortable. The hosts were quick to respond to all my questions and were very helpful with suggestions on what to do on the area. We look forward to a return visit! Thanks again to Morgan (and her...

“The yurt was clean and adorable. It’s even cuter in person. It’s larger than the pictures make it seem I think. The bed was comfortable and my main concern as an old chubby lady was if it was going to be cool enough. It definitely was! Would stay again. Hosts were communicative and welcoming.”

“Great!”

“Bedding smelled ,mildew like. Property has not been cared for. Vegetation suffocated the deck. instructions to use the entry lock were wrong and no one was available in the rental office to help”

“This property is PERFECT, especially if you are visiting someone at Western. It’s an easy 8 minute drive to WCU, and less than 20 minutes to Sylva (where all the good food is!). The check in process is super easy (door code to the cabin) and check out was take out the trash, put the linens and towels in a basket and put the dishes in the sink. We have had to extensively clean VRBO/AirBBs before. This was a breeze! :)The price we paid was substantially less than what parents were paying in town...

“Such a beautiful place. Close to one of the most beautiful parts of the blue ridge parkway I have ever been too. Every thing was super clean. Loved the sauna, Cold plunge and the hot tub. Great way to end our days after hiking. The big window was wonderful. Well stocked. The robes were a nice touch as well as the snacks hats and coozies. You thought of everything. 10/10 we will be back.”

“The location is fantastic—you're right in the heart of Cashiers, making it easy to walk or drive to local shops and restaurants. The property is situated on a fairly quiet dirt road, the listing photos accurately represent the space, and everything was clean upon arrival.A few things prospective guests should know before booking:The listing states that the best way to reach the host is by text. I texted before our stay to ask what type of coffee maker was provided, but didn't receive a response...

“The host was super easy to work with, the views are incredible. The cabin is very peaceful and very easy access to all the popular waterfalls and hikes nearby.”

“Saw a white squirrel, rabbit, and box turtle outside our windows each morning! Clean, quiet!”
