“Reading other reviews I was a bit worried about staying here but it was great. I had a huge room with a seaview and big modern bathroom with lovely Scottish toiletries. I thoroughly enjoyed a hot bath after a cold day out on the bike. They have a big indoor room around the back of the hotel where you can store your bike. Huge comfortable bed and the room was comfortably warm. Busy, friendly bar and restaurant and I had a lovely steak pie for dinner. Very much enjoyed my stay here.”

“Perfect place to stay in the quiet and laid back village of Dounby as it is close to a lot of archeological sites which are about 10 to 20 minutes away in every direction. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great food as well. Spacious parking in the back. There is a gas station and a market across the street so you don’t have to worry about driving too far to refuel and get food. This place will be my go-to the next time I travel to Orkney Islands!”

“This property sits in an amazing locale, and one that is not necessarily the easiest location to get to either. The route I traveled was miles upon miles of single-track, winding road through amazing, rugged country. The staff were very eager to help me out as they could, when I inquired if they had the laundry service, rather than telling me “no” they offered the use of their own wash facilities. The bar at the inn doubles as a sort of community center, one night was a jovial and impromptu...

“Located between Craignure and Fionnphort on the Isle of Mull. Situated by the road looking onto the sea. The Inn is a popular place to eat as the restaurant was busy. The owner showed us our room which was large, clean, tidy and warm. The super king sized bed was comfortable, shower was powerful with plenty of hot water.
