“Great cabin with an amazing view. We would absolutely stay here again.”

“The rental was clean, easily accessible, well stocked bathroom. Enjoyed the stay.”

“This wonderful little gem is at the top of the mountain. It’s a great ride up the road to the top of the mountain. The view was wonderful. The house was really a perfect size for just the two of us. It was well stocked with what we needed or wanted. The nice thing was that the owners were right next-door in their house if we needed anything they would’ve come over in a moment. I would highly recommend working with this owner or renting this cabin.”

“What an amazing cabin, area and host! Very responsive and communicative. Property is close to town but private enough you feel surrounded by nature!”

“We were very happy with the home and enjoyed our stay.”

“Enjoyed the observatory.”

“Butternut Cabin was an absolute gem for a couples getaway. The house was spotlessly clean and felt thoughtfully put together from the moment we walked in. The custom kitchen was a highlight—beautifully done and well-equipped. We especially loved that it had an espresso maker; we made several high-quality cappuccinos during our stay and it made the morning feel extra special. The beautiful covered porch, fire pit, and Adirondack chairs made the outdoor space just as inviting. It was the perfect...

“I absolutely loved this place! I enjoyed the fire pit while sipping on a glass of vino with my little pup under the stars. The place was quiet amd I even had a few deer that came to visit. Location was excellent to downtown Marion. I loved the record collection she has too! That probably was my favorite! The place was perfect for what I needed. U came to experience the Bigfoot Festival for the first time and didn't want to stay too far away do this place was great. Went to Lake James amd had...

“Absolutely charming and very well equipped small home. A lot of small amenities to make it welcoming. Didn't realize it had steps, that was our fault for not checking. We found the registration process to be confusing trying to do it through Expedia as it was a vbro. The owner went out of her way to be helpful.”

“Beautiful property! We enjoyed the "swimming hole" in the heat and the kitchen was fully stocked. I would recommend an SUV or all wheel drive vehicle to be able to get in and out of the steep drive, but we loved the secluded feel of the property.”

“Very attentive host. Private, wooded property on golf course and very close to Lake James. Clean, spacious and has everything you need. Two bedrooms on main level and two bedrooms on the lower level. Upper level has nice living area and dining room. The lower level also has a nice living area with sofas, chairs, large screen TV, pool table, and kitchen/dining. Outdoor deck has grill and large dining table.”

“I booked a weekend trip for my parents and they really enjoyed it!! Their favorite thing was sitting in the patio together and drinking coffee while overlooking the river”

“extremely peaceful location and super cozy along with amazing kitchen appliances updated bathroom. I felt like I was at a high-end hotel.”

“Home away from home”

“We loved the peaceful sound of the creek. Such a relaxing spot. Close to town but without traffic. We even got to watch a fawn running around and playing in the creek. We look forward to returning soon.”

“I have rented many places and I’m ranking this as one of the best rentals I have ever rented.1. Communication: Ben was extremely responsive and friendly.2. Location: The town of Old Fort has gone through a lot in the past few years, but that has not diminished its charm and resilience. The house sits on a beautiful creek and has a great view of the sunrise which we enjoyed from the screened in porch. The house is walking distance from downtown. The downtown has several breweries with great...
