Perfect Spot for Seeing the City
This little house was a perfect place to call home while visiting Tucson. It had everything one could need for a comfortable stay and was right downtown off 4th Ave, but didn't feel like it. The historic building has a lot of character, that, coupled with remodeled minimalist decor, was roomy and bright. My only suggestion is to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, as it's located near the train tracks with trains moving at all hours. The back patio was a great spot for morning coffee and the front porch ideal for evening people watching. I'd love to return on my next trip!

Absolutely Charming
The property was charming inside and out and I was pleasantly surprised by it's spaciousness. It was comfortable and the layout perfect. The amenities met all our needs and the location was equidistant from both districts of Saguaro National Park. The private garden was a bonus. I would definitely stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

Fabulous stay
Lovely place to stay - really got the feel of old Tucson. Lots of art nearby and easy walk to restaurants and historic sites. Apartment has everything you need. Spacious for 2. We enjoyed breakfast in the private back yard.

Excellent stay

Lovely one bedroom
Just a five minute walk to downtown. Clean. bright, quiet, and comfortable. Two tiny quibbles: No microwave, and I at least prefer the instructions, internet code etc. to be actually written down, a hard copy in the property. So I don't have to navigate the VRBO app to find (for example) the checkout time.

Has character and faithfully maintained to how it was 100 yrs ago. Very clean with fully equipped kitchen. Beware of the parking situation however: I used the parking permit provided by the host, but got a parking ticket anyway. The ticket said I was "parked the wrong way". This is a two way street, so why would it matter. The street signage did not warn of this nor did the host warn me.

The historic character of this property is outstanding. I found the location convenient no matter whether I was on foot or in a car. It provided a much-needed respite for me off of the beaten path. I would gladly stay here again and I plan to, if it is available, when next in Tucson. I felt right at home the minute I walked through the door. The owner/manager is helpful and responsive.

A beautiful downtown apartment
This is one of the loveliest places I have stayed! The apartment is beautifully decorated--if you appreciate aesthetics, you will love the details! The kitchen is well stocked and the bed is very comfortable. The location makes it easy to experience downtown Tucson. Grace was very helpful in resolving a parking issue and an attentive host overall.

Beautiful space. Close enough to stores and restaurants to walk. Even though it’s in the city it feels like a secluded space inside the apartment. Quiet location. Great communication with host. Would stay again.

Absolutely Wonderful!
A 5-star rating isn't enough. Wow. What a fabulous place to stay. The neighborhood was safe, quiet, and within walking distance to some cool sites, bars, and restaurants. Grace thought of everything. Fresh, simple, and sophisticated décor. Very comfy bed, linens, and plenty of crisp, white towels. Bathroom is stocked with beautifully scented, gender-neutral soaps, shampoo and conditioner. There was even a full-size pack of makeup remover wipes! Then there was the well stocked kitchen. Plenty of coffee and tea choices for the Keurig coffee maker, salt and pepper mills, cooking spray and oils, nice assortment of spices, and a Britta pitcher in the full-size fridge for filtered water. Needless to say, we fell in love with this place. If we travel to Tucson again we will defiantly stay here.

Heart Surgery respite

What a Little Gem!
I cannot recommend this property enough! The communication from the host, Grace, and her willingness to go above and beyond was greatly appreciated. She truly went out of her way to make sure things were ready on time for me and everything was still up to par in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The apartment itself was immaculate, clean, organized, comfortable and cute as a button. A friend was getting married just down the street and the apartment was just a short three walk block to the venue and about a five minute walk from the heart of downtown. My friend who lives in Tuscon visited and toured the place and said she's going to recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Charming space with great location
I am obsessed with this property! This fully stocked space is full of personality. The host was communicative and she had everything fully stocked! There was even a full washer and dryer- I didn’t see it in the pictures so was a nice surprise that I could do my college kids laundry. The kitchen was so welcoming wirh a Keurig and all the appliances. The bathroom is adorable with a claw foot tub and lots of charm. The living space and bedroom were so comfortable and beautifully decorated. The on street parking was so convenient and the walking distance to the bustling downtown made for easy access to restaurants and the Sunlink street car. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Great little apartment suitable for a single adult or couple.
I love the neighborhood, plenty to walk to- Barrio Viejo is adorable and a short drive away. The house is furnished very tastefully. This is my bad- and honestly didn’t mind it- it was kinda nice- there’s no tv- if you look there’s no mention of one in the ad but it seems like something that would just be in a vacation rental as a given- like not something I would look to make sure because everywhere has a tv- regardless I didn’t mind AND it wasn’t advertised to have one- just beware when booking if that would hinder you from staying. OR bring a laptop or tablet if you want to watch tv Tv with the WiFi. Great stay otherwise.

A Little Gem
I stayed at this charming property in late June. It is centrally located with some eateries close by, but I chose to have a meal delivered. Parking is in front of the property. It is thoughtfully appointed with coffee, tea and bottled water. If I needed to return to Tucson I hope this listing is available as I’d love to stay here again.

Wonderful and Unique Stay
Full disclosure: My grandparents were the Franco's who built and owned these apartments and lived next door, and I grew up playing on the steps and railings. So seeing them on VRBO, staying there was a must. I was excited to stay and was not disappointed. Grace was very responsive and pleased to hear about my relation to the apartments. Back in the day, the apartments didn't have air conditioning, so were kept dark and, with only three rooms, often crowded. Grace has added AC, and opened the windows. The rooms are bright and fresh, well furnished, but have retained a lot of their historic feel. It is also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is updated but consistent to the era, and it is very well and stylishly stocked. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of quality sheets and towels. There is also a small patio in the back which is nice for having coffee in the morning. One thing to know is the shower/bath is a clawfoot tub which might be challenging for someone with mobility issues. The apartment is also in Armory Park, one of my favorite neighborhoods, and we enjoyed just walking around and looking at the architecture which is a mix of Victorian, Greek revival, Queen Anne and Territorial. A new community of homes has carefully mirrored the existing architecture. The neighborhood is also very convenient to downtown, which has some excellent restaurants, venues, and galleries. We recommend the short walk to the (historic) Hotel Congress for breakfast at The Cup Cafe. My husband and I were very comfortable and pleased with both the apartment and with the ease of booking and communication. We had hoped to touch base with Grace in person, and weren't able to, but we are looking forward to returning.

If I could give this experience 10 stars I would!
First I must say that Grace is a wonderful host. She is so easy to communicate with, fast to reply and we even got to check in early! When I was looking for a place in Tucson I was being very picky as I usually am on VRBO... I looked at every single place available during my dates and kept coming back to graces place and I’m so happy I did! It’s the most adorable little Victorian dream getaway I could have asked for! She had the place spotless, the kitchen stocked of anything we needed, extra towels, pillows, blankets, you name it she had it! One thing I loved was how quite and private it was. My husband and I got the place as he lives in AZ and I’m in Michigan so we haven’t got to see each other in awhile and I loved how there was no tv. And how peaceful the property and location was. It was perfect! And they backyard was th best way to start our mornings drinking coffee outside. Overall I would give this property 10 stars and I would give grace herself 100! I couldn’t have asked for a better little getaway and someone who runs it that is completely 100% on top of their game. She puts a lot Of heart into her home and you can tell that from the moment you walk in. Next time we are in Tucson we will definitely try to book again if available! Angela and Justin

The apartment is very well set-up, roomy for two, and clean. It’s walking distance to a very active part of town, restaurants, breweries etc. No drip coffee maker, but the Keurig was fine for us; plenty of pods (we’re big on coffee). A large supply of half-and-half was another thoughtful touch. Parking (with supplied permit) was easy and we felt quite secure. We’d recommend this place to anyone seeking an in-town stay!

Amazing Accommodations
First of all, the Host Grace is very easy to work with! The apartment had anything and everything we needed with one exception... There is no TV or radio. Otherwise you can pack light as there’s everything one needs to cook, bathe, do laundry etc... there’s a very nice private backyard with a table and chairs and a quaint little front porch with chairs. Parking is easy. Close to everything! We will definitely stay here in the future!! Thank you Grace!!

Wonderfully designed living space in a great location
This apartment is absolutely gorgeous inside. The hosts have paid careful attention to detail to ensure a classy, yet comfortable interior design. The kitchen has all the amenities a person could need in the way of appliances and food stocks. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the temperature inside was easily controlled to our liking. The hosts are very kind and we could tell they care a lot about their guests comfort and satisfaction. The price was very reasonable. We had not even one small complaint for this apartment. We are hoping there is availability the next time we visit Tucson. Highly highly recommended.
