“it is a nice and very quiet place”

“Our Cheat River stay this second time, was exceptional.. They did some changes (an overhang over the hot tub) that we thought was going to be bad (You want to see the sky there) But turned out awesome! We were able to be in the hot tub with snow and sleet coming down AND able to watch baseball at the same time. The beds were comfortable, pots and pans and everything we needed for a great stay. Also, the mgmt was very responsive when we needed them. We will for sure be back!! Thank you!!”

“This hotel was recommended by family because it was clean and safe. They were right! Not only was everything perfect, but they also had a combination of firm and fluffy pillows on the bed. First time ive ever had this in a hotel. I will stay here again when i visit family. The only thing i would recommend, the anti slip treads in the shower need updating but there was a grab bar. This is my suggestion for almost every hotel but not a deal breaker.”

“My room number was 105, 1st floor in Alleghany Springs. The dishwasher needed to be reattached to the wall, the 2 screws were clearly sitting on the counter above, but this was not repaired before our stay. Each time opened, the DW jarred forward, ugh! The room was clean, & adequate for the 4 of us, realizing that sofa beds are never the most comfortable. ”

“Overall, I give this stay 4 stars. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all wonderful. The hotel is pet friendly, which is a huge plus. My husband and I ate dinner one night in the Riverview and the food was great. We also ate breakfast in the Gun room and were impressed by what was provided with our stay. Yes, some of the rooms are small, but it is an old building so that is to be expected. Our two complaints for the trip were 1) the Riverview was closed to hotel guests one...
