“The Elkwater Lake Lodge is in a great location and generally speaking, a very nice place to stay. In fact, this was our second stay at the Lodge. However, there does seems to be some wear and tear on the property where upgrades are required. Concrete steps are crumbling away, fenced areas needs paint, the pool is out of use right now, as is the restaurant. The sink in our room was backed up and the toilet didn't flush very well, concerns we raised at the front desk when we left. In fairness,...

“Bathroom really smelled bad and corners were dirty. Lamp shade stained and pillow case was dirty. Check in was awful. Yes we were late. Drove 8hrs to get there to watch our son play lacrosse and checked in after the game. So around 1030pm. Rang buzzer 3 times and then called. Lady finally came to check us in and basically lectured me for being too late. Will be there again next weekend and definitely won't be staying there again.”
