“Really enjoyed this cabin and want to come back. Wish our trip was longer! Communication with property manager was good as well as the visitor guide. Pool and kyacks were fun. The only issue was: we tried to go hiking but the trail was blocked by logs on one side and then large trash on the other. But the hot tub was so nice and peaceful and the cabin was so cute, it was worth it. I'll also recommend to my sister and we'll hopefully come back in the near future! ”

“The tent cabin was clean and very comfortable. The private fenced in area was great. We enjoyed exploring the pond and property. The river access was phenomenal. Hosts were fantastic and excellent communication. We were pleasantly surprised at the large amount and variety of birds nearby. The house was stock very well in anticipation for everything we needed. “My family of 4 enjoyed our stay here. It was not toddler-friendly, but we managed to leave without breaking anything. We loved kayaking on the little lake and enjoyed the short hike. The pool was only slightly heated (during Spring Break) but we got used to the chilly water. The propane grill and hot tub were both awesome. We couldnt get the fire pit to work so we used a lighter to roast marshmallows. Overall I would recommend staying here with kids over 3.”

“The setting of this cabin was very peaceful and beautiful. The cabin itself was charming and comfortable. I would use caution with young children, though. The shabby country chic easthetic includes apparently repurposed corrugated metal panels low on the bathroom wall with screw holes that are quite jagged and could easily slice flesh if contacted. Otherwise, the decor is very charming. We had a great time on the walking trail and enjoyed the interesting rocks and wildflowers. This is the kind...

“Absolutely by far the best decision we ever made was to book this cabin. Cabin was clean, hosts met me and showed me around and gave me fresh free range eggs for breakfast. I spent the majority of my time sitting in the rocking chair on the front porch with my dog and enjoying nature and the wildlife. I was sad to have to come home! If traveling the the Mountain Home/Kerrville area, Cowboy's and Angels Retreat is a must stay!”

“Great place! Had a great time. The river access was key. Spent both nights eating at Howdys. Great food and atmosphere. Nice little lake. Caught some bass. Definitely recommend for a hill country getaway. ”
