“The location of the Plains Motel is very good. It has nearby highway access, and also is within walking distance of shops, a grocery store, and cafes. The motel is in good shape, and comfortable and very clean. The best thing, though, is that all of the staff were extra kind and helpful. It made for a lovely stay!”

“The hotel claimed they had no booking that I made via Expedia. So I was left with no alternative but to stay in vehicle the night before a 100 mile race. Definitely NOT ideal. Who to believe? Beyond disappointed! Definitely would always try and go directly to hotel to book.”

“Moldy shower curtain. We paid for new one. Control for the heater was broken,we were freezing all the time,we wore our winter jackets all the time. We ended up leaving two days early because we were sick of freezing .stayed 5 days paid for seven days. Broken patio door that we were told to wedge a long stick in to lock it an stop cold coming in. Only a half of roll of toilet paper for seven days. The staff was nice.the boss was in Vegas for the holidays. ”

“Not too much to choose from in the small town of Fort MacLeod. Red Coat Inn certainly seemed the better of choices. A bit dated and a tad rundown it was clean and convenient. Office were helpful and on-site parking was free. The Fort is well worth a visit.”

“The service was not what I have experienced in earlier stays. They, somehow, had no knowledge of my Expedia booking for the two rooms but were able to accommodate me. When I went to check out at 8 am I was told that they normally don't open the office till 8:30. While the staff person did accommodate me, it seemed to be an unusual statement for the hotel. The antique decor from previous ownership is still in place, which I appreciated.”
