“Cabin was basic but well supplied with essentials. Took an email to determine how to turn on the heater but host responded in a timely fashion. easy drive to Mesick and surrounding area we wished to visit,. Quiet and nicely furnished and allowed dogs as well (for a fee).”

“The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed and more. It was cozy and spacious. The location was perfect, just a short drive to many great places. Lake access was a short walk away and it was nice to sit on the dock and stargaze at night. The front porch swing was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee. The back bedroom had plenty of room for air mattresses, if needed. There was a musty odor when we first arrived, but it cleared out when opening windows and running the ceiling...

“This small cabin was perfect for our needs. My husband and I stayed for a weekend in May 2025 with our two dogs. It has all the basics for a no frills getaway and close enough to all the local flair. We were in town for the grand reopening of the Cherry Bowl Drive-In, which is just down the street. This cabin is right on the river which was cool. It shares a wall with another cabin, but we never heard the other occupants. Our agenda didn’t allow us to take advantage of the other fun activities...

“We came to visit friends and explored great beaches and towns. We drove around from Thompsonville to Leland. This property was perfect for us. Our little dogs were welcome and we enjoyed the cabin and the river just as it looked in the photos. The owners are great! We had everything we needed. It was warm, cozy, neat and tidy. Perfect for a little getaway!”

“I liked this place. Has that old-school, “up north”, Michigan cabin vibe. Exactly what I was looking for. Nice and clean. Management was very responsive. There are plastic bags, or barriers, on all of the mattresses. I guess that’s hygienic? It doesn’t make for a comfortable night’s sleep, however. ”

“The cabin is quaint and quiet. It does have a small view of the lake although we stayed in the winter so not able to review how the dock or any outside amenities are. Cabin temperature was ok for it's age and being in the north. We did not stay in the upstairs rooms but when we checked on them they were only a little bit cold, not bad.
