A+ Customer Service!
We had a comfortable stay at Raven's Roost. Everything was clean and as pictured/described. I want to give a special shout out to Colin's customer service. We came back one day after there had been severe thunderstorms to find that the power was out. I messaged Colin and he got back to me immediately to say he'd look into it. It was a regional outage that got fixed in the meanwhile, but then the wifi didn't come back with it. Colin tried extensively to help us troubleshoot that. Turns out it was also a regional outage, but we greatly appreciated the effort he made. Here are some tips for anyone considering staying here. 1) They are not kidding about needing the 4WD. My husband is a native New Englander so he grew up driving on steep, winding, narrow, unpaved mountain roads, but this truly tested his skills. And this was in August so I can only imagine how it is in the winter. 2) Cell reception is spotty at best. I would recommend taking screenshots ahead of time of directions you need, check in info, etc. I was really glad I did. As long as the cable isn't out, the wifi should be fine. 3) Pick up groceries on the way. The small market nearby is overpriced and the next closest is about a half hour away. 4) I was worried about being too hot because the a/c is just one wall unit on the lowest level and it doesn't travel up at all, but it was consistently 10+ degrees cooler there than it was outside of Wolf Laurel so we were fine. 5) Enjoy your time in a pretty and quiet space!
