This motel is an excellent choice in the quaint town of Palmerston in the heart of farm/mennonite Ontario. Close to restaurants and relatively close to other tourist towns of interest including Arthur and St. Jacobs. We recommend”

“This is the only hotel nearby, so there aren’t really many options to begin with. That being said, my overall experience was good (except for some noisy people in the room upstairs, which I reported to reception, but it wasn’t really addressed); it’s close to the town and in a quiet area, and unless you have noisy neighbors, you should have a pretty decent night’s sleep. The room is not too big, but there’s still a pretty decent amount of space for you to move around. The place looks kind of...

“Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are "basic and a little tired" but clean. We came for Stratford Festival so we only slept here. Reasonably priced for that purpose. Air conditioning worked well. Room temperature was perfect. Lots of parking. Nice that they have complimentary coffee and tea”

“The okay - It’s a basic motel with beds. It’s 20 mins walk to town and 5 mins walk to the nearest gas station. The room had cable tv, a microwave, and refrigerator which were very handy. The a/c worked well. The worst - towels and bed sheets had hair and old stains. The room smelled old, like it hadn’t been aired, so we had to leave the windows wide open to get the smell out.”

“The room was spotless; everything from the carpet to the grout in the bathroom tile was very well maintained - in fact looked brand new. The pool was again well maintained and spotless. We only stayed for one night but Suburban would cerainly be our choice the next time we are in Stratford.”

“Beautiful home, ensuite washrooms were blessed because of sharing with other guests. The breakfasts and snacks were delicious as well, lots of selection. Comfy beds, its was quiet, we didn't find out about the beautiful backyard and balcony until right as we were about to leave otherwise we would have liked to hang out there for a bit to relax. If we ever find ourselves needing to be in the area overnight we'll definitely be staying there again!”

“Cute room great location. A bit of noise from the bar at night but not too bad. Our room had a beautiful tub but did not have a standing shower if that is important to you.”

“Sue and Al are the most wonderful hosts at Cottage on Caledonia and it's a perfect place to stay for a visit to Stratford. The bed is so comfortable, the homemade & quality breakfast is so appreciated, and the space is charming and welcoming. The saltwater hot tub is a huge plus as well! :) If you're looking for an accommodation with above-and-beyond hospitality, look no further. Can't wait to stay again!”
