“This is my second stay here and it's not my last. This hotel looks unremarkable from the outside but it is beautiful on the inside. Open fires, stunning wood beam ceilings, a fantastic pool and the rooms are spotless. There are spa treatments available but we didn't make use of them this time. The treatments are a bit pricey but i think if you buy a spa package when you're booking your room it works out cheaper, so have a look. The staff in the hotel are all lovely and very friendly. “This hotel is in a great location, close enough to walk to center of village but still quiet. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the surrounding hills.,( we had the star gazer room ) Breakfast was excellent! “Lovely quiet courtyard room - 309 - would request again for the peaceful location. We have stayed in a lake view room in the past and would pick the courtyard over it, as it means you aren’t on the main road. All the staff are friendly and helpful, from check-in, to spa, to restaurant. ”

“Staff were really friendly. Hotel and grounds were beautiful. Rooms were spotless. They also left a teddy on my daughters bed, which was lovely.the only 2 downsides were the WiFi (room 20) wasn’t reliable, this is fine if you don’t need the internet but if you intend to use it was a bit of pain because there was no mobile signal either. I like that it is a dog friendly hotel, however we had a dog barking most of the night at the hotel.”

We had an issue on our first night but the staff did their best to deal with it. Fortunately this was resolved. Breakfast was great, excellent quality and a good selection.
