“Picturesque location as an escape from the traffic and noise. Eclectic and artsy lodging created by free spirits over time. Some might say quirky. Accommodation was not modern which provided extra charm. Comfortable for just me to get away, but close to beach and city and its offerings. Hosts responded quickly and provided great directions to off beaten path. I would stay here again when I have more time to hike and explore (nearby state park). Thanks so much.”

The elevator is old and small, but still worked. The room was right next to a street, so there was some traffic noise from time to time. The host was wonderful and answered every question I had. The room amenities were enough to make the stay feel like home. Hard to find a better option for this area at this price range that makes you feel...

“Everything was great.”

“Location, location, location.Steps away from the fabulous shops and restaurants of Santa Monica's Montana Avenue, in one of the nicest neighborhoods for walking in all of the Los Angeles area. Whole Foods and a larger grocery store both within easy walking distance as well. Sara, the host, was incredibly responsive, and there were so many nice touches, including a supply of coffee that lasted me the whole 6 weeks I was there, a handy water cooler, fresh muffins and flowers upon my arrival, and...
