We booked our vacation at this spot on Expedia. It was listed as "Paraiso Maya Luxery Resort" and listed private beach with many amenities on site. The ad is 100% false. When we arrived it is a private owned condo in a gated golf community called TAO. No beach. No restaurants. No bars. It offers One very small sandwich shop called the bistro, a gym and 2 small pools. It is miles from anything else. We spoke to the lady that oversees the condo for the owner and showed her the ad on Expedia and even she was confused and had no idea what Paraisa Maya luxury resort was and recognized none of the pool, beach and restaurant pics. She was just as confused as we were and agreed the ad was false. You do have access to 2 actual resorts called Bahia Principe that are miles down the road and across the highway but you have to find a ride there and back and the amenities will cost you $70Per person per day to use their amenities. They do offer some shuttles, however limited times during the day and it is a long walk from the condos to get to the shuttle and they may or may not run so don't count on them. We were left standing for over an hour several times then had to still call a cab. The few times we caught a shuttle. It takes you to one place, then you have to get off and wait again for another shuttle to take you to the resort where the beach is located. So look for at min 45mins to 1hr getting there and the shuttles do not take you back to the condos! TOTAL NIGHTMARE.
