  • Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains our cabin is just minutes from Lake Lure, The Tryon Equestrian Center, Chimney Rock, Hickory Nut Gorge and other local attractions. This log cabin is the perfect place to getaway while still enjoying all the amenities that make you feel at home. From your porch, you will enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Wild Cats Spur located on Sugar Loaf mountain. Don't be surprised if you catch a glimpse of a flock of turkeys or the beautiful deer that call the surrounding woods their home. From this cabin you can explore Asheville, Tryon, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many historic sites.
    This cabin is 1 bedroom / 1 bath 400 square feet with a full size sleeper sofa. It will accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. The bedroom offers 1 queen size bed. The bathroom offers a tub/shower combo. Cook your meals in the fully equipped kitchen or enjoy the many local restaurants in the area. TVs with satellite are located in the living room and bedroom.

Short getaway

My husband and I needed a short getaway and this was the perfect house! A Mountain View to enjoy our cup of coffee in the mornings. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great for visiting Tryon Equestrian

Perfect for a family getaway. Cabins are spotless and the view is excellent. Easy access to Lake Lure and Tryon Equestrian. We hope to stay again.

Great weekend getaway

The cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway. We really enjoyed the secluded location and taking in the fall weather on the screened in porch. The cabin offers all the amenities for a comfortable stay and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely want to stay here again!

Great, isolated location in a beautiful area. We were in the area for a Blue Grass Festival and found lots of outdoor activities close by to keep us active and having fun enjoying the outdoors.

Wonderful Cabin!

Beautiful location with a Mountain View. Wild Turkeys and Rabbits made it even more relaxing and exciting. Close drive to restaurants and Tryon Equestrian. Cabin had everything needed for a wonderful visit.

Mountain Anniversary Trip

Very nice place. We enjoyed the view and quiet. It was a short scenic ride to Lake Lure and other site seeing. Would highly recommend. Cabin is well taken care of and clean.

Peaceful and Clean

The location is very peaceful with a beautiful mountain view. The cleanliness of the cabin exceeded my expectations. It almost had a feel of camping (due to location in the woods) which was great for us because we love to camp!

If you are a neat freak, like me, then look no further! The cleanliness of the cabin was beyond expectations! This was the coziest little cabin for two. It really felt like home away from home.

Perfect Quiet Getaway

I came here for a long weekend to write and go on some local hikes, and the cabin was perfect for that. It was off-season, so the cabin next door was unoccupied, making for a very quiet time with no distractions -- which was just what I needed. The cabin was cozy and clean, and it was only a short distance to various hiking areas. I had an enjoyable and productive stay.

The Perfect Retreat

The place was better than expected! It has the feel of a quaint and vintage cabin, yet it is new and very clean. The cabin had all of the amenities of a home and the landscape was very well maintained. Very secluded though Lake Lure is a only short 10 minute drive away. The place is a hidden gem. I cannot wait to return!

Cabins at the Gap perfect for staying near Lake Lure/Chimney Rick NC

Secluded, beautiful woods with Mountain View. Quiet and peaceful. The cabins looked to be brand new. Pretty, super clean, well appointed and comfortable. We were there for the Earl Scruggs Music Festival. The cabin was reasonably close to the International Equine Centerwhere the festival was held.

Great Cabin

We celebrated our 38 year anniversary at this beautiful cabin. It was so peaceful with a great view of the mountains. The first day here, we saw deer and turkeys. We loved that it was off by itself, away from the crowds. It was not to far from lake luke and chimney rock. We definitely will be back.
