  • Situated on twenty gently rolling acres and overlooking the Swan Mountains, Stepping Stone Guest House is ideally located for exploring the quaint town of Bigfork, the greater Flathead Valley, and Glacier National Park.

    STEPPING STONE guest house has TWO QUEEN BEDS, a private bathroom, a sitting area, dining table for two, and a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, and microwave. Access to the guest quarters is via a flight of stairs. The guest house is one large room with the sitting area, kitchenette and beds all in the same space. Towels and bed linens are provided.

    DIRECTIONS:
    From Hwy 35 at Saint John Paul Catholic Church, it's the fourth driveway on your left immediately after Rising Mountain Assisted Living. Apple & Google Maps may direct you too far down Coverdell Road—look for the large, sculptural metal mailbox and gravel driveway. Please drive slowly as there are nesting birds in the grass and gravel along the road, as well as a small, older dog who doesn't navigate well around moving vehicles.

    PARKING:
    Park in front of any of the garage doors.

    ENVIRONMENT:
    The guest apartment does not have AC. It is recommended to open the windows at night to let the cool air in and close them during the day to help keep the space cool.

    PETS:
    Well-behaved dogs are welcome; please notify us in advance.

The space was so relaxing. Large windows, spacious, uncluttered, simple and functional. We went for a walk around the area, very peaceful. Close to fishing lakes and restaurants. The studio tour was very interesting to see his commissions in the works and pictures of ones completed. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom spacious and has laundry facility. We will definitely try to stay here again.

Quiet gem in Bigfork. Stepping Stone studio is a well laid out studio flat above a 3-car garage. Nothing but gorgeous views all around. Deer came to visit in the back yard, and horses grazed in the neighboring property. Our host was friendly and attentive, making sure we had all we needed. A grocery store was only three miles away. The small fridge, microwave, and toaster were enough for our simple needs. We stayed two nights and enjoyed them immensely.

It was quiet and lovely. It was.only two of us starting but could see us bringing a couple friends and returning later in the season so we could drive the road to the sun. Big Fork was a lovely town and it was close enough to Glacier without being too close to the chaos.

This was the fifth year my daughter and I stayed at this property and it remains one of our favorite places. Lee continues to be a gracious host and we look forward to hopefully returning next year!

Large private loft apartment

Loved staying here!

Lee’s property is the perfect place to stay in the Big Fork area. The property is large and peaceful, the studio has everything you need, the beds are amazingly comfy and Lee is the perfect host. Thanks for having us Lee!

Fantastic, homey, well-equipped

Lee was amazing and very communicative with us as guests. The property was great and easy to find. The guest house was very cleanly and had all the amenities we could ask for! It was a great place for us to decompress after a week of long hikes!

Blast at Bigfork

Priory was roomy, clean and convenient to local attractions and restaurants. Lots of wildlife on the property at dusk and dawn. Fabulous views of the mountains and valley!
