Lovely b&b! Had big rooms and excellent shower. Ten minutes walk from the station and five from the centre. Friendly hosts with out being overbearing. Would absolutely go back. Only consideration: there was nowhere to leave bags after checkout.

The property was in the centre and easy to find, staff was very helpful. Breakfast provded was rich. While the room and the hotel themselves were clean it was humid and smelled a bit dumpy but I assume this is a common issue with old British properties.

Good breakfast and convenient to the city sites. Pay parking on the streets, but not expensive. Only small cars fit in spaces close by.

This was a beautiful guest house in Durham, within easy walking distance of the Cathedral, and with easy access to multiple restaurants. It was clean and quiet, with large rooms deliberately decorated in a country style, but still with modern amenities like adequate plugs for charging (except in the bathroom: I couldn't plug in my water pick). The breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. The staff were available and friendly. The only downside would be for those with limited mobility. It's on a steep hill, and parking is only on available the street.

We arrived to be told they were closing the next day so no breakfast was on offer (had money deducted) however on entering the room it was obvious the room hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned for a while as I had to get rid of A LOT of cobweb’s throughout the room and there were a lot of dead bugs on the window sill - the next morning I discovered there were no teabags and no staff around to ask. Not great front of house or customer care

Beautiful, large bedroom, comfortable bed, stunning view. Everything spotlessly clean. Exceptional bathroom. There was a problem with the toilet which was sorted by the time I came back from my day out and about. Friendly breakfast servers. I asked for more milk for my room, which they happily provided. Parking in the street wasn't an issue, costing £18 per day. Great location.

Absolute worst. I couldn’t make the reservation and tried canceling prior and was fully declined any refund or credit. Even though they weren’t full booked they flat out refused anything. Karma comes around

Nice property. Clean and very close to all things in central Durham. Plenty of good places to eat nearby. Breakfast was good, but fairly basic.

Great place to stay.

We stayed for 1 night on the way to Newcastle. The location is great right in the centre, and we couldn't fault the room or service. Great place to stay. Thank you for the hospitality.

Absolutely outstanding guest house - I was really impressed from the moment I arrived. The room was enormous and very comfortable, with everything I needed. It was the perfect temperature and almost unnervingly quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. Breakfast was great, and the owners were very accommodating.

City break in Durham.

Clean, comfortable bed and room; welcoming and friendly staff; lovely cooked breakfast, not overloaded and enough choice too; room had view of cathedral and castle. Thought the standard of accommodation was comparable to a good hotel. Only a couple of minutes walk from city centre Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely centrally located guest house, friendly owners. Very nice rooms and breakfast. Fourth time I’ve stayed there. Street parking can be difficult, even with a permit provided by the owners, unless you arrive fairly early or late.
