Perfect Escape

we were one of those affected by hurricane Helene in the CSRA. Without power and without water as well as no Internet and spotty cell service we found ourselves lost and feeling like we were in an apocalyptic movie. This rental was just what we needed to escape the uncertainty and to reach some sort of normalcy. Having a place that could take us on short notice and that was pet friendly was a must. This place was great and definitely an escape from where we were. Wi-Fi was still a bit spotty but I had a hotspot on me and was able to get back to work as well as enjoy the apple season in Northwest Georgia. we had never even been to Ellijay before and what a pleasant surprise. Thank you for having this lovely home available to us in our time of need.

Cute and cozy

My husband and I stayed here with my 15 yo son. It was perfect size for us. Everything was nice, new, & clean. The resort is huge and all the amenities are really nice but they are about 15 min drive from the cabin . However the drive is scenic and pleasant. This cabin is in the woods off the gravel road and private. We really enjoyed watching the deer, making s’mores by the fire pit, & relaxing in the hot tub. We saw a lot of deer out our window. The driveway was also gravel and kinda steep, but my Toyota Rav 4 SUV made it up. It would have been easier with a 4wd or Awd vehicle. All in all this was a great place to stay and I highly recommend it.

Hot tub was disgusting

When we got there Friday the hot tub had not been cleaned at all! It had brown grime or algae all over the sides and floating in the water. The people who handle the property were trying to tell me it had been drained and cleaned and I took many pics showing it had not and I asked them to come clean it. They just wanted to refund me $30 for the hot tub fee but if you are like me the hot tub is the best part of the vacation! I was not pleased at all! They stopped responding so I just let it go for the rest of the night trying to enjoy my vacation. Well someone messaged me the next day asking how satisfied I was and I said not at all then that set things in motion for them to come clean it around 3pm Saturday. Mind you it will still have to heat up and it took till that evening to get warm and we got in at 90 degrees in it and brown stuff was still floating in the water. Even after they cleaned it! It’s disgusting and who knows what it actually is and if it’s safe to be in! Also you have to drive 15 mins to the rec center for the amenities and it gets very annoying and old after awhile. I just really don’t recommend this cabin after all this. Plus not cable and the Netflix was under someone’s name that it cut off and wouldn’t let you watch. No other streaming platforms for tv. Also the down stairs shower does not get warm or hot and so only one shower upstairs can be used. It’s a pretty cabin but for all these issues I would not recommend anyone to stay here.
