Manitou Lodge is gorgeous! The lodge itself is amazing: rustic vibe with elk skins, lots of oversized furniture, games, books and big pillows. It would be perfect for a special occasion. If you are interested in the tent sites, number 3, 6, 7, and 9 are the largest and nicest in my opinion.I stayed at the Outback cabin which is the smallest cabin available. There is another next to it called the Outback II and another larger cabin near the entrance. The cabin was clean and cozy. There was a cute red mini fridge, Keureg, plates, silverware, towels and microwave. I have stayed at a lot of cabins and none of them offered such amenities. The shower is a really cool Rain Shower with heating, lighting and a large square shower head that feels like standing in the rain. The hot water is actually hot! It's so nice and it's not coin or token operated - free to use during your stay! The trail leading around the campsites is great for walks. There are old growth trees to keep you cool on hot days. There are multiple outhouses and sinks with potable water. Kilmer Road leads to the main highway (101 Spur) which will take you Rialto Beach or back to Highway 101 where you can take the La Push road exit to First, Second, Third and La Push beaches. If you're into hiking, biking or running there is ample opportunity to engage in your favorite outdoor activity. The ocean is amazing! Justin the host is kind and accommodating! Please be kind to him! He is great! Always available!
