The host, Matt, was without question the most attentive and thoughtful host we've ever had. He went out of his way to supply us with needed items. He got back to us very quickly to answer our questions even tho he was on a cruise with his wife. Matt made us feel so welcomed! The cabin itself is lovely but be ready for a dramatic drive to your destination... which in turn gives you an awesome view with plenty of nature to enjoy. The trail heads at the end of the driveway were such a plus. Even tho you feel tucked up high on a mountain ridge, club house dining is only 10 minutes away. Our whole group enjoyed the amenities in Bent Tree resort even in the fall.

This was such a great stay. Any issues were dealt with promptly by Matt personally. It was such a relief to have a great owner. The driveway was definitely steep so make sure you’re comfortable with that. The house itself was very comfortable for our group of 15. We didn’t feel like we were on top of one another. The kids loved the basement room, theater and game room.It was great having hiking trails right outside the door and not needing to drive somewhere else. We would definitely stay here again. The view is incredible and totally worth the driveway!

Matt was an exceedingly communicative host - the kind you wish every rental had. We had a couple minor issues that were addressed immediately, and he made sure to encourage us to reach out if we needed anything else. The cabin was lovely, with tons of space for our large group. The kids barely wanted to leave the basement with all of its fun amenities and awesome bunk beds. You could tell this was a property owned and used by a family, not a large company taking all of the shortcuts for profit. The beds were very comfortable. The views were better than the pictures, and the back deck was huge with plenty of seating for everyone. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped - we held a Friendsgiving/birthday celebration and weren’t missing any cooking tools. This place was really great for a large group, and we appreciated the host’s hospitality.

We were in Bent Tree for a family reunion of approximately 50 people and rented three houses in addition to my sister’s house where we all gathered during the day. The house was perfect for our needs. It was very nicely appointed and clean. The area was great with so many things to do for all ages. We golfed, played pickle ball, hiked, swam and enjoyed the beach. Matt was very helpful and very accommodating. You could tell by speaking with him that he wanted us to have a great time. We learned early on how to navigate the driveway and had no issues. As Matt said, it is worth dealing with the driveway for the spectacular views! We had no complaints at all. We would definitely rent again should the occasion arise. Thank you, Matt!

Fabluous Stay

What a beautiful setting and a great house for our family time. There was plenty of space for our family of 8 adults and 6 children. Everyone enjoyed the deck with the amazing view, the hot tub and the game room downstairs. The kitchen is also very well stocked. We loved doing the hike just off of the driveway to visit the scenic waterfall. Matt was super to work with and gave great communication before we arrived and made himself available should any questions come up during our stay. We would definitely reserve again!

View on a Whim

View on a Whim is a very nice home ! Our family did our family vacation here. It is just as described. Wr had 9 adults and 4 kids under 10. This is an excellent home, location and view. Rooms are large, kitchen is large, deck is large. Theater room is amazing and very comfortable. We had a very relaxing week here. Home is very clean and everything works properly. We will be back. Matt answers any questions promptly.

Perfect mountain gateway!

Exactly as described, we had an amazing time. The view, the spacious rooms and the cleanliness exceeded our expectations. A truly mountain experience: we even spotted a beautiful black bear on our way to the cabin. Do not hesitate to book. We'll come back for sure!!!

Wonderful mountain gem

This was a quite lovely and well appointed home with a beautiful view. We chose it because it was a mountain experience but further south so we could also get to Atlanta for activities. We truly felt like this was a haven away for us and would consider coming back a second time. The host is kind and attentive and the home had a high end yet family feel. Excellent wifi compared to many rentals we have experienced. The gated community made us feel very safe. Thanks!

Great golf trip venue

Great Stay

Our stay in the mountains was perfect. We travel around each Spring to a different area of Blue Ridge Mountains to hike and relax. The Bent Tree community offers golf, tennis, and great hiking. There is a good trail right off the property. We visited the Main Street in Jasper for great local food. The view from the deck is great for sunsets and star viewing. We highly recommend this cabin.

Amazing Cabin and Spectacular View

Our family getaway was wonderful and the Cabin was beyond what we expected So cozy but with large spaces and plenty of room for the whole family. The kitchen was huge and perfect for all our gatherings. The outdoor deck was very nice with spectacular views of the mountains The master bedroom is so beautiful but I wish it would have had some window coverings. Hiking on the property was great and visited the local winery. All in all it was a week of making beautiful memories with our family Thankyou Matt for your service and quick response to our needs. Would definitely love to come back HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Great

We had a wonderful stay. There was 14 of us; 7 adults, 7 kids & 2 one year olds and there was plenty of space for everyone. The game room & theater room was perfect for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked with everything one could possible need. Matt, the owner, was very gracious and made himself available even before we arrived. We would definitely come back.

Magical Weekend in the Woods

Our stay at this massive cabin in the woods was truly exceptional. The stunning views of the surrounding nature were absolutely breathtaking, and the cabin itself perfectly blended rustic charm with modern comfort. Amazing property

Everything about this beautiful home was absolutely perfect. We had a large group of adults and children and there was plenty of space for everyone. Everything was sparkling clean. The beds were comfortable with fresh linens. The kitchen was so well stocked! There was plenty of firewood available on property. Everything was in working order. The only thing we struggled with was getting the tvs and video game to work but we are not big technology people. The trail on property was so pretty and we absolutely loved going down by the lake and exploring the trail there that ran along the creek. The owner was very easy to communicate with. We’ve been taking trips to the mountains with this group for 10 years and this is the first time we all agreed to try to rent the same exact cabin next year. Such a fabulous vacation for a large group!

Great for a Large Group

While the House was what we needed for our event, there are lots of issues with the lighting and ceiling fans. None of the fans could operate without having the fan light on - not good for the bedrooms or in the main living room. Many fixtures in the kitchen were missing bulbs or they were burned out. Also, there are no window treatments or blinds in the primary bedroom. But overall it is a nice house with lots of space.

We had a great time. The house was perfect for our family of 15. The surrounding was wonderful. We saw deer, beavers, and bears. On the property terrain was a lot to do. There was a lake with a beach, and fishing. The hiking trails were wonderful. City of Jasper was also very nice with enough to do and see.

Overall a good stay but not worth what we paid

- The cabin was overall a decent stay and very spacious, however not to standard for what they are charging. We travel to the Georgia mountains as a family every summer and have stayed at some really nice cabins so we were slightly a little disappointed. We had 16 of us so we had plenty of room. We all had beds to sleep in and it is well stocked with kitchen necessities, towels, blankets and all the things! The owner and IT manager were very responsive and helpful. The movie room and game room a nice and plenty of room. My husband and kids liked the community golf coarse. On the down side of things, The staff in the office was not helpful. When we asked for information and details on what there was to do on the property, they basically pointed to the map and that was it. The front and back patios need to be cleaned, the patio furniture is very dirty, we were not able to use the outdoor dining table, lounge chairs or anything due to the cushions being so dirty and moldy. The fridge needs to be replaced, the upper part of the fridge does not cool we had to throw out our dairy products and kept our meat on the bottom shelf. The grills were very dirty, we had to clean out before we cooked on it. The hot tub was on the dirty side, family used it but I would not go in. The pool is not included in your stay, it’s $35 per pass. Overall a decent place that holds up to 16 people, but maybe we’ve been spoiled by the condition of the previous cabins we’ve stayed in.
