Pili Mai is beautiful! Unit was very close to pool and loved that we had an end unit! Only thing that was a downfall was the AC unit overflowed and wet my items that were in the closet. Had to rewash clothes (thank goodness for washer & dryer in unit) had to toss a bunch of things due to water damage. Couldn’t use the AC until someone came to fix the problem the next day. Called 2 different numbers and made a report but the ones who helped was someone who wasn’t on the list and was a friend of my sister in law.

Better than expected

The location was perfect. Looking out over the golf course, we could see the ocean and the mountains. The beds were super comfortable! Very spacious and easy to get to different places. It was so much better than expected!

Great Location and CLEAN

Beautiful place to stay. Perfect location with pool right across the street. One of the best VRBO's we have ever stayed at. Many people have left items for use. There are boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, tent, motion sick glasses, towels!

This is the right place!

Wonderful location on southern Kauai. Everything close by, sea turtles on the beach, snorkeling, pool, grocery store, great coffee, golfing, local history…it’s all there.

5 Star Property

Location was great. amazing views from the balcony where we ate breakfast and dinner. The pool right there on the other side. Apartment was well equipped with every essential you could need including boogie boards, beach chairs, and coolers. Could not be happier with our stay.

Fantastic Unit

Absolutely a fantastic place to stay. Pros: 1. Three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, laundry facilities are a huge plus. 2. Location close to the pool for teenagers, a huge plus. 3. The views! Looking out across the golf course, you can see the ocean and mountains. 4. The beach chairs, day cooler, boogies boards, and toys are awesome. 5. Very clean unit, nice beds/linens, wonderful simple decor, and the kitchen is well supplied with dishes, etc. 6. Loved having designated parking spot. 7. Staff left us a note with chocolates and snacks for our trip. 8. Easy drive to local beaches. Or a nice walk for walkers. Not an easy stroll. So don't plan on sipping cofffee at the beach on your walk. Cons: 1. Although the views from the golf course are amazing, there are general noises associated with maintenance of the facilities. 2. A golf ball hit the side of the condo, it was LOUD! 3. The washer isn't balanced, so it often makes noises when in use. 4. The ease at finding the parking and unit in the dark while raining was challenging. 5. Not close enough to the ocean to hear or watch the waves. 6. One of the boogie boards need the leash replaced and is sort of in dispreair. But it works for just floating in the ocean. 7. Don't recommend for those who can't navigate stairs. I loved this unit and highly recommend it for families. If you prefer to sit outside and watch the ocean, you may need to look for a different unit. Mahola

Amazing condo and perfect location!

This condo exceeded all our expectations! The view from the Lanai out over the golf course and down to the ocean was beautiful! The location of the condo near the pool was perfect. The condo itself was spotless and the perfect place for our family of 8. This is by far the best condo we’ve ever stayed at and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kauai!

Beautiful place on golf course in Poipu

This was such a lovely home. It was very well stocked, very clean and really inviting. There were two families of four staying there together and there was plenty of room for all of us. It is in a great location and this unit is close proximity to the pool. It felt like home away from home! Loved it!

Great view- poor management

We are frequent travelers and spent 2 weeks in this location. Beautiful view, great location. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and beach. Plenty of space for family of 7. Several maintenance issues noted in January by previous guests ( broken window, broken fan on lainai) still not addressed by Vacasa. Master shower needs a major scrub. Hot tub broke for 1 week of our 2 week stay. We had issue of housekeeping entering our condo and going through our personal items while we were out. According to Vacasa this was an error-they entered wrong condo. After entering they started packing up our belongings, emptying dresser drawers etc. We should have been notified by Vacasa prior to returning to our condo at end of the day.This incident occurred on the weekend so we were routed to call center on mainland. Eventually issue was addressed by local management. This was a disturbing occurrence as the condo was left in disarray. Will not rent from Vacasa in the future!

No Garage Access

The lack of garage access eliminated the possibility to rent a surf board, scooter, paddle board, unless I wanted to haul it up to the second floor each day. The glass in one window is broken and the shade is pulled down to obstruct the view of the boarded-up window sill. The washing machine needs maintenance (spin cycle). One lanai fan needs maintenance. The shower door handle in the master bedroom needs maintenance. Make certain to be checked out by 10 AM, because the cleaning staff is scheduled to arrive immediately at 10 AM.

Wonderful location and condo!

We own at the Marriott nearby but needed a bigger space and we were a bit worried about how we would like a new location and condo. We were very happy! The condo was spacious, spotless, comfortable beds, and we enjoyed the lanai and the view. The pool was perfect for a toddler and was never too crowded. I would highly recommend this property. The management company was very efficient and prompt with any questions and requests.

Best Pili Mai location

Beautiful property. Immaculate and smooth self check in process. Nice great room to hang out for friends and family and the lanai is large with beautiful views to the ocean. Rooms are spacious and had more than enough space for our family of four. Enjoyed meals there. Owners are thoughtful to supply all you need for cooking, laundry and beach supplies. Boogie boards, igloo, beach chairs & umbrella in the closet. My family & I were sad to leave this beautiful place and island. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location, but………

We loved the location of this condo, it had a great view of the sunset and 1st an 9th hole of the Kiahuna golf course. It was quiet until 6:00AM when the maintenance crew started mowing the lawn. There was a problem contacting anyone to help with numerous problems we had upon check in and even prior to check in. Using Vacasa as the rental agency the phone would ring forever and then we would be on hold for 25 minutes. It took several hours the day we checked in and the next morning to get the issues solved. So all and all customer service is horrible. The bed upstairs was comfortable, did not use the master downstairs as it faced the parking lot and pool and we wanted it quiet at night. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels and bath products. I would stay here again if they had better customer service and someone at the property to help with issues. They are based in Colorado and no one works on the weekends.

Beautiful Condo - Great Ocean View - High Fees

Pili Mai was crowded but this unit was quiet and faced the golf course. It had a view of the ocean and sunsets. We could hear the ocean in the distance. Vacasa, rental agency charged us huge rental fees, doubling the price. They would not allow us late check out so we paid full price for one 18 hour day. Don’t rent through Vacasa

Property is beautiful, clean, and very spacious. It’s literally equipped with everything you need. They also provide you with shampoo & conditioner ( big bottle) that will last your entire stay. This was a “staycation” for my family and I and this is hands down the best place we stayed at so far. We will be returning again (to this specific unit)

Pili Mai 8i was a great condo for our group of seven. We found the pool and location to be convenient, the condo clean and in order, and check in/ out was super easy. We would stay there again!

Perfect vacation spot!

Unit was immaculate and easy to access upon arrival. Kids had a blast with their own rooms, and TV in each room. Plenty of utensils, pots, starter cooking condiments and LOTS of great smelling soap, shampoo and conditioner in all bathrooms. The unit is modern and new, as if you were the first to book a stay. Great pool, hot tub and baby pool for everyone in our group. Amazing views from lanai was the best part of this unit! Will definitely be back for more staycations.

Stay impacted by Hurricane Douglas

Very beautiful accommodations! Clean, spacious. Would have liked to have a few more blankets for the beds. Only 3 blankets available for 4 beds and pull out bed in living room. Also, pool had to be closed down on Sunday, 07/26/20, due to Hurricane Douglas preparations. Your beautiful pool facilities was one of the main reasons for our stay at Pili Mai. Any chance we could get a complimentary one day access to use the pool on a Saturday or Sunday ?
