Summary

Hate to be critical of this home but upgrades need to be made. The house was clean but had a urine odor on the main level. Beds need to be upgraded. There was only one queen bed not two and one of the twin beds was so uncomfortable no one could sleep on it. The toilet on the main level was leaking water on the floor.

Beautiful location but property needs some maintenance

This location is great, right on lake superior with a small stream on the property. Very close to in town Munising. I was disappointed there were many dead trees and shrubs blocking the beautiful view of Lake Superior. The home was clean but could have been cleaner, we left some M&M’s out for a couple hours on accident while visiting waterfalls and mice got into them. We found mice droppings as well. The upstairs bathroom doesn’t have a blind making it revealing at night time. Great location but could use some work/maintenance for the price.

June visit

Cabin was very nice. Location was close to many things. Not able to walk to anything because on a busy road with no sidewalks. one of the 2 bathrooms was located in the upstairs bedroom, so inconvenient for other guests. No curtains/blinds in that bathroom , so couldn't shower at night. Plenty of towels and sheets available. Fully stocked kitchen. Paper towels and napkins were low, so we bought more. Great view and overall positives outweigh any negatives.

Fantastic location

We stayed 4 nights at this house and our main purpose was riding the ATV trails and a cruise to the Pictured Rocks. The house was very clean, beds were fairly comfortable. We enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the deck. The water was shallow and easy access for launching our kayaks. Cons: there was alot of goose poop on the lawn close to the water ***NOT THE OWNERS FAULT- they can't keep the geese off the lawn when they come by periodically*** ( It's worth mentioning if somebody is bringing small kids however the lawn close to the house is clean)

Northern Serenity

The property was beautiful. So close to Munising and Pictured Rocks. Great for our family of 5. Fishing, hiking, waterfalls, rock hunting. Sunsets and bonfires. Wonderful

Munising Snowmobile Trip

Overall excellent. The place is awesome. Great view. Cozy. Spacious. Well appointed. Check in was easy. Would have preferred to speak with someone over the phone but that’s only because I like the personal communication and that’s my own preference. But yes, would highly recommend!

Good stay

We had a great time. The house was drafty and couldn't hold heat real well. Some of the window latches were broken and the tile in the bathrooms were coming apart. The garage door was also broken. Overall we enjoyed it and would come back.

Great Fall destination

Cozy hideaway.

We had a great time, especially enjoyed sitting on the large porch, overlooking the bay in the early morning. Would definitely consider this place again.

TROUBLE

I actually didn't even get to stay here because an hour before I arrived the owner, Pam, called to tell me the place had bathroom issues and we could not go inside. The next day I dropped by the rental to see if it was ready, since Pam said she would call me in afternoon. There was a van there still working and when I spoke with her next she told me the bathroom floor needed replaced next. So I got a full refund instead and ended up camping in a yurt instead for the rest of the week. Overall Munising was a good stay but I won't make the mistake of renting from Pam again nor will I be using VRBO anymore either. I've never rented a place where some one pulled this bait and switch before, very unprofessional and telling of an awful stay

Beautiful cabin

My family enjoyed our stay. The cabin is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The porches, yard, and fire pit were great. It's very close to many Munising attractions. Wifi was fast, cable was nice on a rainy day. Like any rental it had a few quirks: no fans in the bathrooms, windows wouldn't open, a few blinds wouldn't go up (or had already been ripped off), no ventilation upstairs made it ridiculously hot, lastly - there are only four bowls in the kitchen. It's a bummer there isn't a kayak or canoe. It's really a perfect spot for a kayak. We'd stay again.

A quick family trip

Spent a few days away with family. The property is convenient to the activities we planned. However, upstairs window not working properly so was very warm and the shower dropped water constantly.

Great location

We had a great time staying at this property. This was our first time to Munising and we really enjoyed the area. The location of this property was great. It was close to town and all the activities the Pictured Rocks area has to offer including all the waterfalls in the area. The view was beautiful. The house is roomy and the kitchen is nice and big. There was space from everyone to kick back and relax. It definitely could use some updating but it seemed like they were in the process of updating a few things. The flooring in the 1st floor bathroom was very soft around the toilet, like there was a major leak somewhere. Most of the windows upstairs don't open because the cranks were stripped. We were slightly disappointed in all the geese poop in the backyard which basically made the backyard unusable. There were also a lot of sand wasps in the house, we killed at least 10 to 15 of them. Be careful on the front step, it's a bit of a tripping hazard. Overall we enjoyed our stay but thought the price was a bit steep for the condition of the house.

Beautiful Views

Cute log cabin on the shores of Lake superior - just minutes from Munising. Well equipped and plenty of space for our group. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Great communication with the property owner.

Return visit is a must

Great location close to down town, the property manager was amazing and very responsive. The house was great, exactly what we expected from the listing. Very clean and roomy. No complaints what so ever and I want to go back right now!
