Check-in was super easy. However, we arrived around 3:40p and it was extremely warm in the house. The thermostat stated it was 84F and was set to "Heat". We immediately set it to "Cool" and turned on all fans. When we checked the thermostat roughly an hour later, it was 85F and reached out to the host. While waiting for a response, we went outside to the unit & it was not running. We called the host to notify him of the issue & he told us to ensure the thermostat was set to "Cool" and that it takes the house roughly 2 hours to cool down. I told him we had been there for over an hour & it was only getting warmer and that the unit was not actually running. He stated he would call to try to send someone out to check on the AC. I reached out roughly 45min later to ask for an update on when someone should be out, and the host told us to "turn it off and wait 5 min". We eventually found the breaker & discovered the AC breaker was flipped, so once we flipped it back the house started to cool. The host just did not seem too helpful when experiencing the issue upon arrival.Beyond just the initial experience, the house itself was not very clean. From dishes in the cabinets having food/hair on them, none of the air intakes having filters and being covered in dust, bugs/dirt in the living room pull out beds, the fire alarm in the kitchen still being open with no batteries in it, and only 1 trash bag - there were multiple instances that were not ideal during our stay.
