This luxurious stand-alone villa has a huge garden and is also suitable for 2 families. The name 'The Lighthouse' is derived from its location in the middle of a nature reserve near the striking lighthouse of Ouddorp. This holiday home has a private wooden sauna with an outdoor shower and is within walking distance of the North Sea beach.

A stone's throw away from the beach
From The Lighthouse it is a 10-minute walk to the paved beach access, but this holiday home also has a private walking path that takes you directly to the wide sandy beach. After an 8-minute walk through the nature reserve you get to the North Sea. The trail crosses the highest dune of the peninsula Goeree Overflakkee offering spectacular views. In good weather you’ll be able to see Rotterdam in the north and the Brouwers dam to the Zeeland islands in the south. Regularly deer are spotted here. On a windy day, you can find shelter in one of the numerous deserted dune slacks on your way to the beach.
The North Sea beach near the lighthouse is designated as a family / sports beach, which means that surfing and kiting is allowed and dogs must be kept on a lead during the day.

Layout holiday home
The Lighthouse offers 8 comfortable beds, all with a size of 200 x 90cm. The ground floor master bedroom has a double box-spring bed and an en suite bathroom with a rain shower. The twin-bedded room on the first floor has two separate single box- spring beds that can also be connected to create a double bed. From this bedroom you have a great view over the dunes.
In the large bedroom upstairs there are 4 beds of which one full-size wooden bunk bed. The bathroom on the first floor has a bath tub, a toilet and a separate shower area with a rain shower. The living room has a big wooden table with 8 chairs, 2 sofas and a toilet in the hall.

Wellness and Sauna
As the icing on the cake, this holiday home has a detached cedar wooden sauna on the highest point of the dune. The panoramic window of this private barrel sauna offers a magnificent view over the dune fields. Enjoy the pleasant heat, the sound of lounge music and the ambient lighting: this sauna is the ultimate relaxation after a fun day of vacation. After your sauna session (or after a day on the beach) you can rinse your skin under the outdoor shower. Also hot water is available!

Culinary pleasure on vacation
If you like cooking, The Lighthouse offers a fully-equipped kitchen with top range appliances, such as a mixer tap which provides instant boiling water for a cup of tea. The open kitchen is also equipped with a 5-burner gas hob, an oven & microwave, a dishwasher, extensive kitchen utensils and crockery. You can also make a tasty cup of espresso or cappuccino with the Nespresso machine and milk frother. Don’t feel like cooking? The nearest (simple) beachfront bars are beach club 't Gorsje' and beach club 'Iloon'. For a more extensive menu you can visit the popular beach club 'Paal 10', have a burger at 'Twins', or have lunch or dinner at the trendy restaurant 'Werelds aan het Strand', located at the Lake Grevelingen waterfront. Or buy fresh seafood in the port of Stellendam.

Activities for kids
For children there is a cabinet with toys, free Netflix, a large trampoline, a unique tree house and mini soccer goals, but there are also plenty of things to do in the immediate vicinity of the Lighthouse. Although this holiday home is privately owned and not managed by a holiday resort, the facilities of these large-scale parks are also available for visitors. At the nearby Port Zélande you can go swimming in the subtropical swimming paradise 'Aqua Mundo' (admission not included) or go bowling to disco music in the Market Dome. The adjacent Roompot holiday resort 'Duynhille' offers is a tall climbing frame and an indoor playground, which are both free of charge. You will also find a Spar mini market with daily fresh rolls, a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, bike rental and a tasty ice cream parlour. Ouddorp city centre with all shops (including big supermarkets ‘Albert Heijn’ and ‘Jumbo’) is located 10 minutes away and within 15 minutes you are in the middle of all bars and leisure activities in Renesse. For nightlife, you should visit Rotterdam, which is a 45-minute drive.
For babies and toddlers, The Lighthouse has a cot with bed linen and a high chair. On a rainy day you can also watch digital television with Dutch, German and British channels, read a selection of magazines or surf the internet with free high speed Wi-Fi. Or enjoy the Harman Kardon bluetooth sound system, so listen to your own music on holiday!

Comfort and furnishing The Lighthouse
This beach home was designed with attention to architectural detail to enable a carefree holiday. The Lighthouse is equipped with comfortable underfloor heating, but you can also sit around the cozy gas fire and enjoy a drink (or two) on chairs with a real sheepskin. In summer, you can light up the Weber charcoal grill on the outdoor terrace. When it’s cold outside, it’s still comfortable on the outdoor loggia sheltered under the roof. To protect the huge window fronts and the outdoor eating area from the sun, some huge shades and remote controlled blinds are mounted. The Lighthouse has a garden hose with a spray nozzle to rinse surf or diving equipment and hooks to dry your wetsuit. You can also do your laundry during your holidays, as the Lighthouse is equipped with a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Safety and hygiene
For your peace of mind, this holiday home is equipped with a laptop safe with a user code. The front door opens by entering an access code on the keypad, so no hassle with keys. On-site parking for several cars is available. Pets are not allowed. For the comfort of other guests The Lighthouse is a non-smoking accommodation. Smokers do have the opportunity to smoke outside at the covered terrace.

No hidden costs
The rates of this accommodation are all-inclusive. Except for the refundable deposit and the mandatory final cleaning service, there are no additional costs for bed, bath and kitchen linen, water consumption and electricity. And of course the beds are already made on your arrival. There are also some toiletries and a small welcome gift waiting for you.

Do not forget to bring your own
Beach towels and a bathrobe for the sauna or beach and a pair of slippers.

Booking and reservation
The booking days are flexible, but during the summer holidays the changeover day is on Saturday. The owner of this holiday property is a German-Dutch couple, and they can assist you with any questions and issues before and during your stay in the Lighthouse in Ouddorp. When available, late check-out can be arranged with the host at an additional fee.
