“The property is surrounded by farms, is a little farm itself with many fruit trees. Bird song will wake you and frog chirps will put you to bed. There is a pool, however most of it is very deep (》8ft) so not suitable for very young children unless you bring your own flotation devices or will be within arms reach of your child who is learning to swim. “Check in process was extremely easy, room was very cute and clean. Quiet neighborhood with the exception of the frogs at night haha. Great area and was close to everything. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I will say that I did not notice the bathroom is kind of open air, so just a heads up for others that may not be fully comfortable with that.”

“We really enjoyed our stay in Honomu. The home is comfortable and well appointed. Sitting on the second floor balcony and enjoying the forest scenery as well as the ocean in the distance was a highlight. The cool air was refreshing and kept the home a comfortable temperature. We appreciated having laundry facilities available and used the kitchen daily. The day geckos were fun to watch scurrying around. At night, the coqui frogs were quite vocal. “We had a great stay in Hilo. Mari was super helpful and called us to walk through the home’s specifics. Two families on the trip and the property accommodated us well with two levels, and beautiful ocean views from the deck and pool. We saw a dozen dolphins. The kitchen had many spices and condiments and all the cooking supplies. ”
